Remembering Wheaton's Law

Been thinking the past few days. If you don't like a game, then don't play it. Play your game. Be happy. Don't attempt to make other people miserable by trash-talking their game, then touting yours as the greatest ever. All you do is make people disregard you (and even your game) while building up a venomous attitude inside yourself that just festers. Don't do that. Play your game. Be happy. If you don't like Skullgirls, that's okay. Don't play it. Play your game. If you don't like CvS2, that's okay. Don't play it. Play your game. If you don't like Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat/BlazBlue/Guilty Gear/Tekken/Mega Fightan Gaem 2016, that's okay. Don't play it. Play your game. Just be happy. However, if for some reason you just don't want to be happy, even that's okay. Leave the people who do alone.

I figure I have a tumblr, I might as well use it.

This project was completed for Zee in Florida. It's a Tek Case from Art's Hobbies using a Hitbox layout. PCB is a Paewang and a Toodles-brand SOCD Cleaner. The red switch is to switch 4P and Select/Back to make "blinking" easier.

I can't even begin to describe the personal demons I had to conquer when working on this stick. I'm already a pretty ridiculous perfectionist, and I ended up completely scrapping the wiring four times because I'd mess one thing up and get pissed and just start ripping wires up.

I really found out that, despite looking like Big Boss, I can be quite the diva when it comes to stick modding. Sometimes I'd get so frustrated and overwhelmed that I'd refuse to work on it for a month at a time. The client would email me and I'd begrudgingly go back to work. It took my (then, now ex-) girlfriend to refuse to see me to finally finish. And finish, I did. I still think it looks like crap, though.

So I came home from school to see my 7 year old sister putting skittles with my antidepressants, I went up to her and asked “Hey what you doing?” She looked at me, smiled and said “Skittles make me happy so I put them with your medicine that makes you happy so you can be extra happy.” That was the cutest thing i’ve ever heard.
