Here's a long curious rant I decided to seperate from a reblog to my own post . It's a mess .
Guy who grew up rich and attended to yet severely neglected and makes up for that by . Well. Gestures at him. And his hobbies . It's a greed and fascination thing but also partly vanity led I feel... That's my headcanon atleast ... Npd curious you mean so much to me I hate you I hate you die die die die .
I wonder about him. So bad.
I need to know more about his origins . What the fuck happened with the clock and those 10,000 people vanishing across 4 towns . was that deliberate or could he just not control it ? Was it deliberate at first but then realized how destructive it was and couldn't't(fucking autocorrect? Did that?) control it . Did he just kill a ton of people on purpose what's up with that . Because by the looks of it him being face down on the ground near dead clinging to the thing signals like .
Well honestly I don't know . We just don't have enough . He really does not seem like a malice led person tho , just greed and curiosity. Which often turns into malice or results in such . But I don't think that is exactly his primary motive. So him purposely wasting 4 towns feels out of character ... Maybe I'm too generous to him as a character who knows.
I also like . Wonder how growing up in his class and status effects his current worldview and general outlook on shit. Or beyond that growing up in the area of the world that he did and in the timeframe he did. He doesn't seem that old.
He hates the us government for stealing from him and killing him obviously, but his hatred is so detailed i feel like it's quite alot more than that .
"What you do is a violence that pushes your world into the individual worlds of others" . Yeah . His country of origin isn't specified, it's probably fictional anyways, but with how the US government has treated middle eastern countries that hatred does make a lot of justifiable sense . And just general American colonialist history tbrough it's entire existence. He definitely grew up higher class but I think regardless of that and what amounts of protection he may have gained from that, you're going to be shaken by war and military intervention when you grow up around so much of it and it's going to impart on your world view .
Also as much as growing up very rich influenced his greed and arrogance I do think it wouldn't be far fetched for him to develop a hatred for the ornate greed driven self serving world he grew up in aswell. But also also, even if he does happen to harbor a hatred for such again it all definitely influences the person he is now. I don't know . You grow up surrounded by wealth and seeming protection but see suffering all around when you leave your bubble and it all feels so fake and disgusting. Obviously he still has the resources as an adult, uses them for his own gain . But his own gain is in the pursuit of discovery . He has an advantage so he's using it . And maybe as much as he hates the life he grew up in he can't help but stay one foot in the door. Well, couldn't rather. Sorry Asaf . Rip bozo . Anyway. Some hypocrisy between his worldview and his actions. I love to see it genuinely it's so interesting.
"Only my name needs to be engraved here, there are 7 billion of you so what worth is there to the individual names of you lot?" I think you could take a few different things from that . Like take why he said it . I'm not smart enough right now to type out what specifically but like. Yeah . It's in my noggin . His arrogance is great . I think it was especially heightened then because he had just fucking been revived and gifted these crazy op abilities. He's interesting.
I could say a lot more. But I need to put this damn phone down . I like curious I like speculating I like thinking . I hope this amount of speculation isn't annoying
Oh my god and you know depending on Femt's upbringing / origins this could bring even more parallels to the table concerning them . God I hate them! Let's see how the cruelty of massive power welding forces shapes these guys worldview as they grow up in it ok? Ok . Ok . Ok . Hahaha . They are never going to speak again .
