I don’t know. You look rather handsome with a little scruff.

I think I'm 'bout due. // Woody & Angus
Angus Fletcher. You look familiar, Mr Bishop. Have I seen you around somewhere?
Well, I happen t' be th' bank manager for Illinois Federal Credit Union. If ya have money there or some sorta loan, ya probably saw me. Ya look familiar, too, fella. Where's your employment lie?
I think I'm 'bout due. // Woody & Angus
I know I always feel better after I’ve had one.
Y' don't say? I know I feel like that after one, too. I just got so caught up in how nice the hair feels that I couldn't help b' want t' keep it, pal. Name's Woody, by the way. Woody Bishop.
I think I'm 'bout due. // Open
A li'l shave couldn't hurt.
Doctor Doctor || Woody & Hilary
{Hilary sighed audibly. He really was perfect, perhaps not literal perfect, but her sort of perfect. The kind of man that made her knees weak.}Should still be warm. Why don’t you go sit down, I’ll grab y’ a bowl. {She reached up to kiss his cheek before she pointed her finger at him, leaving to run off to the kitchen. She took her pot with her, scouring his cupboards quickly. She took out a bowl for him along with a spoon from a nearby drawer. She moved swiftly, ladling a loving spoonful into the bowl. Hilary walked quickly back to him, setting the bowl down in front of him before she sat across the table from him.}We always say in the south that th’ best way t’ compliment the chef’s cookin’ is with a kiss, so hopefully I’ll wake up with a cold t’morr’a {She winked at him}
Well I'll kiss ya bu' I ain't gonna get ya sick. ((He said, leaning over and kissing her on the cheek.)) I bet it's the bes' in Montford. ((Woody told her, picking up the spoon and taking a sip. Humming in delight and dancing a bit in his seat with what little energy he had, he looked up to her and smiled.)) It's perfect, jus' like you, baby. You bettah go 'head an' eat some, too.
Doctor Doctor || Woody & Hilary
{Hilary smiled up at his face as he pulled her close to him. Her beam radiated as his lips graced her cheek. Butterflies were abound in her stomach} Be careful bein’ so nice t’ me. I’m liable to fall in love with ya.
I made you soup, I knew y’ weren’t feelin’ to well. {She motioned to the pot, absentmindedly.}
If ya fall in love with me, baby, I promise t' make sure y' heart is locked in the bank's safe an' guarded with guard dogs an' security. ((He said, smiling to her before kissing the tip of her nose. Looking to the soup she had mentioned, his stomach grumbled in anticipation before gesturing to it.)) Really? Well don' that beat all, baby! Is it still warm or d' ya need me t' help ya heat it up?
Doctor Doctor || Woody & Hilary
{She took a step inwards to his home, still marvelling at how grand everything was.} Y’ain’t mad, ‘re ya? Because it’s still light out, I can take him home, it ain’t no fuss. {She set the pot down on the table nearest her and took a step into him} I j’ist feel so bad leaving him at home all the time. I mean… I know he ain’t people but they c’in get lonely too. {She laughed, shaking her head.} I sound like a damn fool.
Aw, nah. I'm not mad, baby! He's 'dorable an' I do have a steak bone if ya don't min' me givin' it t' 'im. ((He said, kissing her on the cheek as he wrapped an arm around her waist to pull her close. Closing the door behind her, he locked it and smiled to her.)) I'm so ducky t' see ya, baby. Y' no fool so don't be goin' on an' callin' y'self that.
Doctor Doctor || Woody & Hilary
{Hilary stood outside of Woody’s home, a steaming pot of soup tucked under her arm as she tried to wrangle her dog’s leash and ring the doorbell at the same time. She was starting to get rather flustered with all that was swirling around her, yet she managed to stay standing long enough for the bell to be answered. She smiled as the door swung open} Doct’ah Hil’ry reportin’ f’er duty! {She tried her hardest not to swoon as soon as she saw him, giving him a mock salute}
((With a knock at his door, Woody slowly got off of his couch and cleared his throat. Walking over to the door, he wondered who it could be.)) Comin'! ((He tried to call out, causing him to cough a bit before finally reaching it. He knew Hilary was supposed to come over but why was she here so soon? Opening the door and seeing Hilary standing there, his smile was massive and bright like always when he laid eyes on her.)) You're real sweet, baby. ((He said, gesturing for her to come in before stepping to the side so she'd have room. Seeing her dog, he chuckled and gestured to it.)) You brought your pup? Ain't he just the cutest.
Signs of Spring // Grace & Woody
Grace stepped outside and felt the sun shine warm on her face and couldn’t help but stop and bask in the sensation.
"This weather feels simply glorious! I can’t wait until I can put my winter coat away for good."
Hearing a woman talking near him, he raised a brow and looked to her with a charming smile. "It's gonna be real swell t' put away the coats. I definitely agree."

A Cough's Too Much // Hilary & Woody {Closed}
Hilary nodded, agreeing with him. “Yeah I best be gettin’ back t’ w’erk. Them other girl’s ‘er all probably wonderin’ where I went,” she smiled standing. She stood for a moment in front of him, her hand still in his before she left his office, smiling again at him as she opened the door. “I’ll see you after work Mist’ah Bishop,” she said with a wink before she went back to her counter.
((Closed.))
Applications | Woody & Candy
Candy put her hands to her cheeks as she walked over to the chair he motioned to. She was sure she was flushed and looked completely crazy for acting the way she was. Candy sighed slightly, “I don’t exactly have the best track record with my jobs.” She fit her lip before nervously twiddling her thumbs. “I used to work at the Blind Tiger turning tricks. I was seeing a man who gave me a job as a receptionist and gave me Elsie. He and I didn’t work out obviously.” She gave a nervous chuckle before looking up at Woody. “After that, I worked for Herb Davidson as a seamstress, but had to quit because of the food shortage. I moved in with my father and step mother for a while. Since then I’ve been jobless.” Candy looked up at him, wondering if he was going to simply tell her to get out of his office.
Listening to Candy talk about her hard times, he sighed and looked to her application before nipping his bottom lip. "Well, y' can count on me to not treat ya like dirt, doll. I may be a man bu' I run a business. Y' keep up with work an' make sure your drawer's balanced an' we'll be square, ya dig?" He told her, smiling to her and gesturing to the application. "Ya still need t' fill this out, though. I like keepin' record of all the people that applied and those who got the job. It's pretty easy but there's a risk with workin' here. Robberies and such...but I run a tight ship here. Y' keep up your end an' tell me somethin' funny's goin' on, an' I'll be sure t' help ya out and deal with the issues on my own."
A Cough's Too Much // Hilary & Woody
In an act of senselessness Hilary slung her arms around Woody’s neck. “Oh baby! This is the most special I’ve ever felt in my whole life!” She exclaimed. Without thinking she pressed her lips to his, pulling away quickly. “Sorry,” she said, her eyes cast downward, sheepishly.
Feeling the kiss on his lips, he chuckled after she pulled away. "Baby, no need to apologize. Y' got caught up in the moment." He said, winking at her before leaning over and kissing her cheek gently. Giving a wide yawn afterwards, he looked into her eyes with his own tired and blue ones. "I think I'mma need a nap, baby."
Winter Baloney // Dimitri & Woody
So glad that it’s starting to warm up. Winter was just brutal these past few months.
Tell me 'bout it, pal. I'm definitely not happy 'bout this winter baloney. I like summer.
A Cough's Too Much // Hilary & Woody
Hilary smiled, tucking her head beneath his chin. “Well as long as this ain’t a secret f’er f’ever, I like to imagine that this j’st ain’t another thing f’er you,” she said, “I like t’ think that maybe this is somethin’ special. I don’t know, maybe I’m talking outta my ass”
Listening to Hilary, Woody smiled brightly before pulling his head back to look into her eyes. "Hilary, baby...this is more than just some fling. This is real, baby. I know it an' you know it. I'm keen on ya. Real keen." He told her, brushing his lips over her forehead before pulling her close to him so he could enjoy her warmth. "This is somethin' special, baby. If it weren't, I wouldn't be holdin' ya in my office now would I?" He asked, chuckling a bit before coughing away from her.
See the Glass Half Full // Clarence & Woody
His smile grew as he nodded at his enthusiastic friend. “Absolutely. Just name the time and place. I hardly think Dickey will be likely to refuse and I may see if any of the gents in our circle would care to join us. It’s been too long since we’ve had a night intended for leisure that didn’t turn into business or tragedy. I’d say we’re about due.” He raised his steaming mug in salute to Woody for the suggestion and took a long drink of the hot coffee.
Clarence eyed the man over the rim of his mug at the identity of his “pair of gams”. He slowly lowered his cup with a more than playful smirk on his lips. “Hilary Templeton? Really? Well, she’s not my dame, but she is a dear friend and I could certainly see why you’d like her. She is quite a catch.” His tone became slightly more serious as he continued but he kept the smile on his face. “And not that it’s any of my business, nor do I think that you’re the type of man who would do such a thing, but I trust you’re not intending to ‘love her and leave her’. Out of all the ladies in town, she is one of the least deserving of such treatment.” He wouldn’t go so far as to threaten his friend that he was certain would be as caring to Hilary as she would to him, but heaven help the man who wronged the sweet southern belle.
"'Bout due's spot on, pal. Go ahead an' plan it an' I'll be sure to be there." Woody told Clarence, smiling to the man charmingly like always before sipping from his coffee. Sighing softly and placing the mug down, he looked to the plate of sweets the person brought. Wiggling his fingers and picking up a chocolate chip cookie, he was in mid bite when the man started talking about Hilary. Chewing and placing the cookie onto the small plate that came with his mug, he raised a brow at his friend and placed his chin in the palm of his own hand. "Ya really think I'm gonna just up an' leave Hil? C'mon, Clarence! Ya know me better than that."
Looking to the coffee and shaking his head, he looked back to the man with an eye that was squinted...as if he was feeling a bit of pain. "You know of all people that I'd never do that to a dame. Not one. I mean, remember that floozy I told ya about? The one that up an' left me for some two-bit asshole? I ain't 'bout to do that to the one woman I've been this keen on since her. She even knows about my ex an' how messed up she had me." Woody told him, shaking his head and taking a sip of his coffee. "I'm protective as hell over Hilary. I know if someone started hurtin' her, you bet your sweet ass I'll be right there waitin' t' beat whoever the fuck did it into the ground, pal." Woody was passionate about a few things in life: luxuries, money, and Hilary. He enjoyed sleeping around with floozies and the like but he knew deep down inside of himself that he'd quit his job if Hilary's life was on the line.
Applications | Woody & Candy
"No," Candy said as she furled her eyebrows. Her blood pressure began to rise as she panicked over Woody, or anyone for that matter, finding out about her past. "I just.." She mumbled. "I just really can't talk about it." Candy felt as though there were a darkness surrounding her past and it was finally catching up with her. "Excuse me," she said as she got up suddenly. "I have to go," she turned and began walking out of his office.
Watching as Candy started to get flustered, his eyes widened before he moved to hold onto the doorknob. "Hey, what's wrong. Forget the application and such right now. Talk to me like a friend. What's goin' on?" He asked, his face showing his concern as he gave a warm smile. "Ya seem like a mama bird bein' cornered by a fox, doll." Woody compared, moving to sit at his desk and gesturing to the chair in front of him.
