The 7 levels of tension
1) The jellyfish is a state of tension where you are totally relaxed and calm. It's called the jellyfish because it makes you feel like a jellyfish floating in the sea. This mean that you can feel every muscle in your body and adapt it to your character. 2) The California is a state above jelly fish so you are more awake. We were told think think of it like strolling on a beach in California so you embody the calm attitude of a American. You act as thought you don't have a care in the world so you move quite freely. 3)Neutral / economic is the middle state after the California but before the bad states of tension. You pretty much act normal with little tension visible in your body it is the way most of us act every day in our regular lives. 4) Alert is the state of tension when you are on edge and alert all the time your body might be quite tense and wound up, you are ready for something but unsure what or when. 5)Suspense is the state in which you know something is going to happen and so you are just waiting for it. Your body is held together and controlled if you were walking your walking speed would be rushed or haste. You are just anticipating something so you can't relax or be calm and your body shows this. 6) Passionate the wanting of something you feel very strongly for something or someone and that draws you in so it indices you. We did the where we found a closed box in the street and we wanted to know what was in it we had to play the level of tension of passionate it's was difficult to do but pushed the imagination peaces even more. 7) The bomb we opened the box and in side if was a ticking bomb we had to show the state of shock we would be in and how our body would freeze up so you couldn't move a muscles. This state is difficult to image and it is hard to get in the mind set of that situation but the state of tension help you to understand it better.
