Some shots from my America costume. This costume has seen a lot! I really only did America because after a summer and a con in Taiwan where I saw the only other cosplaying caucasian as Captain America I wanted to go to an abroad convention as the American America cosplayer! XD The next place I studied abroad was Korea which has banned Hetalia, so didn’t quite work out. But in Hawaii I was able to shoot on a Marine base with real military planes and weapons, it was pretty amazing! And of course we filmed the CMV I thought of, Ties that Bind and it appeared in a Gangnam style parody too! XD This costume has continued to be a favorite among my fans and my friends.

Cute Connecticon Story Time!

So this year at Connecticon, I went as Jack Frost with my Big Four group. All day kids had been approaching the group saying hi to Princess Rapunzel and Princess Merida, kids and teens alike saying hi to Hiccup and his dragon Toothless and kids coming up to me and telling me that they believe in me.

Overall, I thought my cuteness level for kids had been reached for the day but then I met these two kids above. 

This 4-year old, named Winry, and 7-year old, named Ed, (along with their mom bunnymundnotaroo), approached me cosplaying Jamie and Sophie. They ran up to me and yelled my name, grabbed hold of me and hugged me.

I sat with these kids for about an hour or so on Friday and Saturday and they played with me, told me stories, sang me songs. We played freeze tag, hopscotch, and hopped over the moon (as you can see in the picture). These kids were adorable and constantly reminded me that they would always believe in me. They hugged me whenever they could and danced with me when music came on. Man, they even shared fries with me!

It was honestly one of the best parts of the convention for me. I had so much fun with them and I really want to thank their mom for letting me play with her and her kids.

But I think the kicker, and the part that always makes me smile the most and just love being Jack Frost is whenever I had to go. Both kids would come hug me and lil Sophie would pull my cloak and say to me “Don’t worry Jack I’ll always believe in you, so you don’t have to be alone anymore okay?”

Thank you Ed and Winry for making my Connecticon one of the best conventions  I’ve ever had.

my VOCALOID Hatsune Miku cosplay is finally complete!!

- everything was made by me, minus the wig (which i cut+styled) and shoes (which i painted). - the cosplay lights up too, including: the hairbands, headphones, thigh-highs, skirt, and sleeve panels. - the sleeve panels are also sound-reactive! you can see them in action HERE. - you can see the wig (and light-up hairbands+headphones) HERE. - you can see the details of the top+skirt HERE. - you can see me wearing the full cosplay HERE (minus the hairbands, they were not complete at the time). ( also yes, i am a guy, and this is about the 3rd crossplay i’ve done. (: )

this cosplay means very much to me, i have loved VOCALOID and Hatsune Miku dearly since i was a kid and i am very proud that i can share that love with my cosplay hobby in this way. i’m planning to get photos taken at Otakon in DC later this year, so stay tuned for those. once Otakon releases their official photoshoot request forms, i will do my best to get an official VOCALOID photoshoot scheduled. the meet will also gather in celebration of Hatsune Miku’s upcoming 10th Anniversary! also stay tuned for that. thank you!

I'm back!

Hi hello how is everyone?! Sorry for the long pause in updates to this blog i haven't the time to post stuff lately! But. That's all changing here in the next week or two, a majority of cosplays have been completed and are ready to get photos of! I'm not the only one I'll be posting pictures of on here, I'll also be snagging pictures of my group as they try stuff on! As my previous posts, my group won't do photo shoots like my lil sister but you will get pictures! Stay tuned!
