Wait, what makes a contestant cursed, and why do all of them have purple eyes
Mostly what makes a contestant cursed is sorta via “infection” way. If an object gets damaged by a cursed,
for this example we’ll use our good ol’ friend here.
Usually any object is fine sense this is a normal state, this also applies to minor injuries, some can even lose limbs without being in risk of cursed form depending on how they’re attached.
But just apply a little bit more of violence aaannnd
Here you go! We got a heavy hurt object on our hands, alive but no doubt in lots of pain, biggest suggestion is to keep it away from any cursed and most especially Paintbrush. Suggestions of covering up the injury too, it’s more of a safety precaution as once the same place is even with minor injuries (especially with an object like Lightbulb here) they can be at major risk of becoming a sentient (or depending, cursed).
Now to determine the difference on sentient and cursed
Sentient is more or less like a cursed but…eeeh? Let me explain
If the injured object is caught by a cursed they will be brought to Paintbrush, where so they can remove the sentience of the object.
Once it is gone the cursed magic will take place of it, making the object more of a puppet to be controlled freely until their own sentience is given back.
This though depends greatly on if the object is actually well, dead.
Mainly because it can go two different ways.
Way 1: The object isn’t dead and sentience is removed early or tricked others into believe they are dead, this causes the outcome of a Sentient (Name in beta, Test Tube is wanting to look over how it sounds).
Though it isn’t too safe to be near them as there can be occasions of random attacking and panics, loss of control, communication struggles, small cases of memory loss and haywire abilities from the cursed magic.
Way 2: The object is dead and hasn’t been given enough time to recover, this goes to a full sentience loss and creates a Cursed. Stay far away, they are not who you used to know, suggestion to get their sentience back if you can.
Paintbrush is still open to giving back sentience over boredom and not to have overwhelming energy from the amount they have but it doesn’t stop them from taking it away as easily.
As for the ‘orple this is caused by the cursed magic that’s majority taken over their body some have purple-ish but that’s only for Sentients who still have slight control over their bodies still. (Also I think young me had a okko phase but-shhhh)
