Violet looked up from where she was sitting, doing some needle point project that Madame had given her, she hated doing stupid things like that but if it got the woman off her back who was she to argue? besides it wasn’t like her boyfriend had been paying her any attention.
when she heard her name she glanced up at the door and looked back down at her project, she would have ignored him but fate seemed to think that this was the perfect moment for her to prick her finger and she let out a soft yelp
“son of a bitch,” she cursed putting her finger in her mouth and cursing whatever god decided to ruin her plans
Chronos stood there awkwardly, he heard the colorful language and felt himself take a step back. Maybe he should go? No to leave would be unforgivable. He loved her he was just very easily distracted, by work and ruling. It was very little of an excuse but he had been so wrapped up. Perhaps he needed a clock in his office? He would talk to his Papa about that.
Violet took another moment to debate before she answered the door standing in the doorway she folded her arms over her chest and glared at him
“yes can I help you, your highness?”
“I could use a drink, couldn’t you?” Was all he said.
Violet didn’t reply at first, a drink was tempting but she was still mad about being ignored
“I have some embroidery practice to finish for madame since my beloved hasn’t been treating me like I don’t exist I may be a bit busy for such things” violet told him a hint of bitterness in her tone
“I’m sorry that I ignored you,” Chronos spoke. “But if you feel that is what you need to do then Goodnight.” He was too tired to tempt an argument perhaps from lack of food and sleep for that matter. “Maybe I can make it up to you with breakfast. I promised I would eat breakfast tomorrow. I have no choice. I also need to see about getting a clock for my office. Time can’t pass me by if I know what time it is.” He was very tired the bags under his eyes and was that a greying hair he had noticed earlier in the mirror?
Violet frowned at him further as he just brushed it off
“fine. Breakfast then, but if you’re late I’m going home” violet warned him of his last chance she was worried about him and the little he had done to care for himself
“and what do you mean you haven’t been eating? You know annet will kill you right?”
Chronos looked at her, “it is fine. I’ll eat in the morning.” He was now looking at his feet. “I know but, eating takes time something I am increasingly growing short of. I blink and it is night.”
“multi tasking, eat and work then you have more time for fun” violet told him stepping a bit closer and wrapping her arms around him as she waggled eyebrow suggestively before finally cracking a slight smile

“Fine, fine a good wine, one that will send me off to sleep!” He smiled to her. We can sip my private collection I inherited from the Empress.“

“Now Underlandian wine is different from the wine above in the Goddesslands.” He picked up a bottle. “Mainly that the grapes are unusual in color down here.” He opened the bottle and poured them each a glass, the liquid shifted from light purple to blue like indigo. “See?”
Violet looked it over curious before she took it and took a small sip testing it out before she shrugged and took another more generous sip of the drink
“seems fine to ne though that is a little weird”
“That’s Underland for you.” Chronos said with a nod, taking a sip. “So how can I better make up to you for ignoring you?” Chronos asked raising a brow with a rather dashing smirk.
"nothing that you could do," violet told him she wanted to spend the day with him just have a day to relax and be with him but it wouldn't happen he had to much going on

Loneliness for two
Chronos sat in the middle of his room in Arcadamia knees clutched to his chest as he looked out the window down the road, from where he could see, was the tree with the rabbit hole. Home was beyond there, he had already run there once and found the hole was gone. How long? How long would he have to wait for life to resume as it should? With Mim and Papa, Uncle Terrant and Aunt Alice, Aunt Jac. Gone just like that… gone.
Violet laughed a little bit and nodded she took another nibble of her cookie to be honest she was tired as well this was very early in the morning for her and she was never up this time
Chronos now that he had a muffin in his belly was getting sleepy. Each chew was getting harder as his eyes bwcame lidded.
“ready?” Violet asked him when he had finished he looked just as tired as she felt
“maybe tomorrow…?”
Chronos nodded and stood up looking very sleepy. “Ok. I hope to see you tomorrow.” He walked to the mirror slowly.
Violet walked him over and leaned on the frame of the mirror
“I’ll see you then,” violet told him smiling a little bit
“but tomorrow we need to pick a real game not just snack time”
“Hide and seek? Or maybe dollies?” He spoke tiredly.
“I think dollies may be a bad idea,” violet said glancing at her guillotine again “we’ll stick with hide and seek”
“Ok,” Chronos walked up to the mirror, “how do I get back?” He asked sleepily.
Violet began to look over the mirror curiously when her hand touched it the glass glowed ominously
“like that maybe?”
He nodded and put his hand on the glass before ending up in his bedroom. He hurried to his bed climbing in and curling up he passed out, dreaming of his new friend and what fun they might have.
Violet stared at her reflection in the mirror for a bit after he left before she hurried back to her bed and curled up under her covers shutting hwr eyes tightly and wishing that hr would come back

Chronos now that he had a muffin in his belly was getting sleepy. Each chew was getting harder as his eyes bwcame lidded.
“ready?” Violet asked him when he had finished he looked just as tired as she felt
“maybe tomorrow…?”
Chronos nodded and stood up looking very sleepy. “Ok. I hope to see you tomorrow.” He walked to the mirror slowly.
Violet walked him over and leaned on the frame of the mirror
“I’ll see you then,” violet told him smiling a little bit
“but tomorrow we need to pick a real game not just snack time”
“Hide and seek? Or maybe dollies?” He spoke tiredly.
“I think dollies may be a bad idea,” violet said glancing at her guillotine again “we’ll stick with hide and seek”
“Ok,” Chronos walked up to the mirror, “how do I get back?” He asked sleepily.
Violet began to look over the mirror curiously when her hand touched it the glass glowed ominously
"like that maybe?"
Loneliness for two
Chronos sat in the middle of his room in Arcadamia knees clutched to his chest as he looked out the window down the road, from where he could see, was the tree with the rabbit hole. Home was beyond there, he had already run there once and found the hole was gone. How long? How long would he have to wait for life to resume as it should? With Mim and Papa, Uncle Terrant and Aunt Alice, Aunt Jac. Gone just like that… gone.
Violet laughed a little bit and nodded she took another nibble of her cookie to be honest she was tired as well this was very early in the morning for her and she was never up this time
