Finishing up your lipstick, you grinned at Draco in the mirror as he leaned up against the wall behind you. Hands stuffed in his pockets, he watched you with a hint of a smile.
“Come on, it’ll be a fun night out.”
He narrowed his eyes at you, knowing damn well that you would have your fun. He, on the other hand, hated going out. Especially to muggle clubs, but it was something you forced him to do every once in a while. It always began with irritated remarks on how trashy muggles were and ended with him drunkenly whispering dirty things into your ear as he gripped your hips, pulling you closer. You knew tonight would be no different.
Stepping out of the car Draco had called for you, into the cold night air made you shiver a bit, but the alcohol from the drinks you had before leaving covered you like a blanket. Draco slid his hand into yours, placing the other on your lower back to gently guide you across the street. You moved towards the line to get in but Draco pulled you back, instead taking you directly to the bouncer.
“How much to skip the line?” Draco held you close as the bouncer turned to look him up and down. Draco was far from small, his muscular build fitting his 6’2 frame, although that wasn’t what drew the attention of others. It was the intimidating demeanor that radiated from him, notifying everyone that he was not one to be fucked with. And he’d be damned if he let you wait outside in the cold with muggles.
“We don’t do that here, back of the line,” the bouncer barely even looked up as he continued checking ID’s, only doing so when Draco spoke up again but harsher this time.
“I didn’t ask if you did that, I asked how much.”
The bouncer snapped his head towards the blonde, eyes widening a bit at the serious expression Draco wore. Pulling out his wallet, he took out a 100 and put it in the bouncer’s hand.
“This should cover it,” Draco stated as he grabbed your hand, pushing past the large man at the door, smiling a bit as you looked back to see him deny another person trying to slip him some cash to get in.
“How’d you know he would let us in?” You glanced up at him as he pushed through a crowd of people to the bar, pulling you along with him.
“No bouncer is denying $100, love.” He smirked down at you as you took your place at the bar.
“Right, and what if he had?” You raised your brows at him, your words causing him to chuckle.
“Then I would’ve given him double. My girl shouldn’t have to wait.”
You rolled your eyes before turning to ask the bartender for two rounds of shots, smiling evilly at the blonde beside you as you set two of them in front of him.
“Drink up, pretty boy.” You laughed as you threw your head back, allowing the liquor to slide down your throat with a burn. Draco followed your actions, showing no reaction to the taste. Instead, he calmly set the shot glasses down and ordered a scotch, neat.
“Dance with me,” you said while grabbing his hand, but he didn’t budge.
“Darling, i’m going to need at least two more of these if i’m going to dance.” He indicated the scotch in his hand.
Rolling your eyes you turned and walked out onto the floor, leaving him standing alone at the bar watching after you. Looking around the crowded room you spotted Blaise and Theo, sitting in a reserved booth, their girlfriends swaying to the music on the floor.
Eagerly running up to them, you greeted one another.
“Let’s dance, Draco refuses,” you sulk as the three of you look over to the bar where Draco is still standing, eyes locked on you as he sips his drink.
Cups in hand, you start swaying your hips to the rhythm of the music, doing your absolute best to fluster Draco. You knew if you put on a show that he would snatch you up and tell you all the dirty things he’s going to do to you when you get home, it was a cycle the two of you kept on loop.
Downing another two drinks, you found yourself dancing near the booth that the three men were sat at. Draco had made his way over to his friends once the bar became too annoying, girls throwing themselves at him for his attention, unaware that his focus always stayed on you.
The smile gracing his features told you that he was a bit past tipsy, his fourth glass of scotch held tightly in his hand as laughed with Blaise and Theo.
You continued to dance until you felt your balance slip, the alcohol finally taking its toll. Laughing a bit too hard, you stepped back as Blaise’s girlfriend bumped into you in a fit of giggles, you fell back into the guy behind you.
Mumbling an apology you didn’t think anything of it until you felt a hand on your waist, “What? So you’re going to bump into me and not say anything?”
Turning around, you looked up to see a gross smile outlined on the man’s face, his hand still placed firmly on your hip. Stepping back out of his grasp you responded, “I said sorry, I didn't mean to.”
Expecting that to be the end of it, you turned back around to walk back to the dancefloor, only to feel an unfamiliar body press up against yours. Tilting your head to the side you saw the same man, his hot breath hitting your neck as he whispered in your ear, leaning closer despite you doing the exact opposite.
“I think you owe me a proper apology,” he slurred as his grip on your hips tightened.
Stepping away from him you pushed his chest, putting some distance between your bodies as you threw him a disgusted look.
“Fuck off, I said I was sorry. Now go away, I'm not interested.” With that you turned back towards your friends who shared the same look of discomfort, grabbing your hand to walk to the bar.
Just as you reached the counter you heard the same voice behind you, an arm sliding in between you and your friends as he stood in front of you, blocking them from your view.
“Buying me another drink? Since you spilled mine when you bumped into me.” He attempted to flirt despite your eyes nearly sticking to the back of your head from how hard you had rolled them.
“Can you not take a hint? I’m not interested, just as I said before. Go away.” You swatted your hand at him in a shooing motion but he just gave you a dark smile.
“And what if I don’t want to? You seem like a challenge, and I love a good challenge.”
Eyes widening you straightened your posture so that you were inches from his face, your cool tone advertising the threat in your words, “I am not a fucking prize you can win. Now get the hell out of my face before I make you.”
His smirk dropped as his features turned hostile, “Make me? Bitch who do you think you are?”
Patience long gone, you grabbed the drink in front of you, throwing it in his face.
Draco had taken notice of the situation the second he had followed you to the bar, his eyes trained on you. He knew you could handle yourself and he had no problem letting you, very familiar with the damage you could inflict when angered. He couldn’t help but laugh when he saw you toss the drink at the guy, feeling a sense of pride as he watched you make your way back over to the booth.
“I think i'm someone you shouldn’t mess with,” you taunted as you pushed past the guy, grabbing Blaise and Theo girlfriends as you did so.
Looking away from you for a moment, his focus was directed at Blaise, who had started telling a story about you from years before when all of you were at Hogwarts.
Just a few steps away from the booth where the guys sat, you felt a hand jerk you backwards by your shoulder. Nearly slipping you caught your balance on the wall next to you, turning to see the same guy, shirt soaked with the drink you had thrown. He grabbed you hard by the arm, shoving you against the wall before leaning into your face, “Oh you’re in for it now, bitch.”
With that he pushed you to the side, through a door into a small hallway near the bathrooms. Draco glanced back at the dancefloor for you, but saw you nowhere in sight. What concerned him was the fact that the bloke harassing you was also gone. He stood up as your friends came over, looking worriedly at Draco and their boyfriends.
Blocking the door, the man began to walk towards you as you searched your outfit for your wand, remembering that you left it back at your apartment.
He reached out to grab you, but you dodged his hand, slapping the shit out of him instead. You attempted to use the opportunity to sneak past him but were cut off by his arm, using it to hold you in place as he wrapped a large hand around your neck.
Eyes widening you prepared to knee him in the groin but found no need to when he was suddenly pulled backwards through the door. He landed directly on his back in the middle of the dancefloor, Draco standing over him with a murderous look on his face. The guy stumbled up just as Draco caught his collar, dragging him over to the wall before slamming him up against it.
“I will fucking kill you,” he nearly spit in his face, “piece of shit. Do not ever touch her again.”
The guy was rambling about how he ‘didn’t do anything’ and to ‘just chill out man,’ causing Draco to pull a fist back, punching him directly in the face. You heard a crack just as blood began to drip down the man’s face, Draco’s hand coming up to wrap around his neck, the guy’s eyes going wide.
“What? Don’t like being on the receiving end?” Draco taunted him, pure venom dripping from his voice as he squeezed. Blaise and Theo began to walk towards him to break it up but the bouncer beat them to it, grabbing Draco’s shoulder while telling them to take it outside.
Draco didn’t even spare the bouncer a glance as he said, “No problem.”
With that he pulled the man out of the club by his collar, tossing him out the door onto the sidewalk as he walked over. Blaise and Theo following quickly, ready to intervene if necessary.
The guy stood up and readied a punch that Draco dodged with ease, closing his fist to throw one last hit that landed directly on the man’s jaw. Hitting the ground again, Draco bent down over him and pulled out his wand. Your eyes snapped open in shock when he quickly transformed it into a long knife that he held against the man’s throat, Theo and Blaise moving to block the view of any onlookers who were outside having a smoke.
“Count yourself lucky, I could kill you in a second and nobody would ever know.” There was a calm seriousness in his voice, the threat given as a fact, a promise. Pressing the knife further against his throat, the man rambled, “Okay! I’m sorry mate, I didn’t know she was your girl.”
Blaise leaned down to add, “It doesn’t fucking matter if she’s his girl. You don’t touch or talk to women like that, ever.”
Standing on the sidewalk stunned, you softly called out his name, “Draco.”
His shoulders tensed at your voice, Blaise’s hand coming to clap him on the back, “Come on mate, let’s go. I think he gets the point.”
You spoke his name again as you walked closer, Draco’s grip on the man loosening as he pulled the knife back. He transfigured it back into his wand before placing it in his pocket, careful that nobody but the six of you saw him do so. The man looked bewildered, unable to grasp the concept of what just happened.
“Get up,” Draco commanded as he backed up, the man lingering on the sidewalk in shock.
“Get the fuck up,” he stated again as the man hurried to his feet. Draco turned back to look at you for a second, his eyes raking over your figure to assess any possible damage or distress. They softened when he realized you were okay.
“Apologize to her,” his tone was still ice cold, laced with an unspoken threat. The man’s eyes flicked over to you as he quickly said, “I’m sorry.”
Draco tensed again and just before he spoke, you cut him off. You knew he was going to make him apologize again, but you didn’t want to hear it.
“Draco I don’t need an apology from this fucking creep. Let's just go.”
Turning his head to you he calmed down a bit, relaxing as your hand slid into his. He gave the man one last death glare before looking back at you to gently say, “Come on, love.”
Blaise and Theo brushed past the man, sure to bump his shoulder as they did so, complete with a disgusted look from each. Letting go of your hand, Draco placed his arm around your shoulder and leaned down to your ear, “Are you okay?”
You nodded but it wasn’t enough, he pulled you to the side while calling out to everyone else, “Don’t wait up, we will catch up in a minute.”
When they had reached a reasonable distance from the two of you, Draco held your face in his hands tenderly as he looked you over in concern. “Baby-”
“Draco, I'm fine. It’s not the first time I've dealt with gross men at a club.” His thumb was stroking your cheek as he looked into your eyes, scanning your face to make sure you were telling the truth before pulling you into his chest, his arms enveloping you in a warm hug.
“I’m so sorry baby, I just saw the way he grabbed you and I lost it. I shouldn’t have hit him, I didn’t mean to ruin your fun night out sweetheart.”
You looked up at him quickly, “No! You didn’t, he did. Besides, if you hadn’t hit him then I would have had to. And sadly, my punches just don't do as much damage as yours.”
He cracked a smile that you mirrored, leaning back to see his face. His hands had moved to your hips, holding you close as you wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him down to you.
“I love you,” you whispered against his lips before kissing him, feeling the edges of his turn upwards as he held you close.
“I love you too, pretty girl,” he smiled back when you separated, placing another kiss on your forehead before wrapping an arm around your shoulders as you began to walk towards your friends.
“Oh and Draco,” you called as he looked down at you, “let’s try to avoid using magic in front of muggles, even if it is to scare the shit out of them.”
He chuckled while looking ahead, involuntarily pulling you closer as he did so.
“What’s the point of having magic if I can’t use it to mess with muggles?”
You shook your head as you laughed, “well so much for our fun night out.”
He squeezed you into his side while leaning down to whisper in your ear seductively, “darling the night has just begun, let's get home and we’ll have some real fun.”
