Consider: Lace would START trying to seduce Hornet by acting submissive/trying to do the prey thing because she's heard so much about weavers liking prey and to hunt. And it wouldn't work at all because 100% of it would just be Hornet being worried Lace is like, getting sick, or that she's done something horribly wrong because Lace actually listened to her with no argument for once. My girl has been in a zombie apocalypse for 50 years she's not picking up on these hints.

Lace would get over this whenever Hornet has to go visit Styx for something. Hornet would preface the entire visit by bitching about how much she doesn't like this guy and he makes her uncomfortable (because she does not want anyone alive to think she asked this dude to call her mistress and himself her slave), but Lace doesn't know why until she meets Styx and realizes "oh, Hornet's not into it if the other person just rolls over, got it" and proceeds to just straight up pin Hornet whenever they're next in the Bellhome. Tbh probably with her actual pin involved.
