Someone gave these away but couldn’t destroy them.
Tornado touching down in the valley.
Saw two little fawns hiding in the marsh. One got curious enough to come up to me, until I crouched down and scared her off. Still, we were both full of wonder.
Phantom and I checking out an old Moonshine still on the ranch.
Traveling across Canada a few weeks ago. Now I am a fugitive in my own country. Everything feels the same.
CAPTION ON THE BACK : The Fabulous JACKALOPE of North America This picture was shot with a telephoto lens just as they were startled by the cameraman presence. Jackalopes are the rarest animals in North America. A cross between a now extinct small deer and a species of rabbit, they are extremely shy and wild. They possess the ability to mimic and their cries often sound human and tuneful. Probably from hearing cowboy songs on lonely nite watch. None have ever been captured alive and this is a rare photo taken at their feeding grounds in the country.
A few things: I love the little adventure they put into it with the detail of a telephoto lens. It really gives you the sense of being on the army style crawl through some sage brush to take a picture of some stuffed Jackalopes. In fact, I would credit the truth of them being the RAREST animals in North America directly to their non-existence, same as them never being captured alive... Also, the smallest deer I can ever image is still bending down on it’s knees to fuck a rabbit.
Lastly: “nite”

Do you ever just feel like you’re living underwater? I am, of course, not participating in that. As I am not a fish. Or a fish like thing. But the wind outside a window sometimes sounds like waves, doesn’t it? Photo taken in New Port, Rhode Island.
It is time for me to make this site into whatever it was originally supposed to be.
Who knows what that is. Dark operations set to commence in 3, 2, whenever.
Chaco Canyon
Monument Valley in the Navajo Nation. Straddling Arizona and Utah. Much fun was had here.
