Serge Marshennikov is a Russian painter who seems to use a somewhat old-fashioned, realistic oil painting style (please excuse my limited jargon). At first, I mistook some of his works as those from a long, long time ago. However, Serge Marshennikov is a pretty contemporary artist born in 1971, and is still very active in his artistic career. His beautiful and extraordinary exhibition of erotic girls (a motif that has been used since mankind was born) and breathtaking use of oil paint and colour captivate the viewer, including me, of course. Especially since I’m highly interested in artistic studies of young girls, Marshennikov’s works inspired me greatly.
