I skipped on most of the Democratic National Convention this week, but tuned in for a few pieces including tonight’s acceptance speech from Joe Biden. More important to me than any of his past experience or other qualities I think what I most appreciate about what Joe Biden brings to the table is his empathy. A quality he has demonstrated time and time again. While I still count myself as not thrilled to be voting for Joe, it’s both the right and necessary thing to do - and the urgency of this moment could not be clearer. We’ll have serious work to do under a Biden/Harris Administration; but we’ll have room to breathe again, leaders willing to listen, and leaders who genuinely care. And that counts for a lot.

Stay strong, stay hopeful, stay organized. And make sure you have a plan to vote.
