the perfect life
i need an area of academia that is more focused on food. this is probably the “mom friend” in me, but i don’t want you all getting so wrapped up in your studies that you forget to eat. i love to sit in my kitchen and read while dinner is cooking or while the kettle is boiling. curling up to watch a jane austen movie with a warm bowl of soup or reading a novel while enjoy pasta with delicious fresh sauce and melted cheese. speaking to a friend about your classes from the day while you both hold a warm mug in your hands, so different from the cold, forgotten cups of coffee and tea that are so often part of the academia aesthetic. i want us all to be well cared for, so we can better pursue our passions and continue to learn new information. i will cook for you all while we sit together in silence and study if i must, but please... give me an academia that loves a warm meal as much as it loves the pursuit of knowledge
mentally i am very invested in the academia aesthetic, but on the outside it isn't shown very often. in a way, it feels like a secret life as i walk through the university library.
We are strong again. Think what your fire might do if you set it free.

Reblog if you want anon messages of what you would be the patron saint of
where do i find a boy with messy curly hair who will visit museums with me, shares my love for coffee and passion for literature and appreciation for the little things like finding tiny secondhand bookshops and cold crisp mornings and the beauty of classical music ......where do i find him?!
my darling, it would be my absolute honor to love whatever version of yourself you are able to show me with whatever form of love you need most.
of course i want to be as deep into the dark academia aesthetic as i possibly can be, but i’ll be darned if i give up putting milk and sugar in my tea
i may not be considered “normal” by most of society, but i would make a great wes anderson character.

dark academia is watching dawn arrive, the colour of a dark purple-red wine, a starless sky.
it is the still silence, adoring quiet divines, delving into the sublime.
it is ink scratched on paper, poetry whispered beneath breath, a shared spark in a glance.
it is heady yearning, aching ribs, fingers pressed to pages.
it is romantic, classic, careless and careful.
what is it for you?
I just want to drink coffee and watch cold rain droplets racing down my window as I listen to music and everything will be okay again and I'll feel it in my heart.
i start taking classical greek tomorrow, any tips from anyone who’s learned the language before?
