i've been gone forever but i'm working on a really, really long (as well as overdue) fic for my dear friend sonya  and since it's going to take me awhile due to school and the length, here's a small tidbit 8D

“You fell from the sky like a bird,” he says. Wendy huffs and crosses her arms, shoulders tight.

“Because that loathsome shadow dropped me.”

The boy laughs a wicked, wicked sound that scrapes like nails across the ridges of her spine. “My, my—no need to insult my shadow, bird.”

“My name is Wendy. Wendy Moira Angela Darling—not bird.”

“And my name is Peter Pan and I quite like bird,” he responds with a smile like knives and a laugh like honeysuckle.
