Mom + Bestie + BFF + Day1 + Favorite Girl #latergram from last Saturday morning before heading to Vegan Mania after grinding all day + night. My mom is so supportive of my work and goals. She's always been that way even when she doesn't quite get it completely. I remember reading a research grant application on the phone years ago, that I received to study 1 object a sculpture Cordier's African Venus, 1 artist's practice, Edmonia Lewis + 1 woman's life, Saartjie Baartman. She confessed later after I was awarded the study grant that she had no idea what I was talking about and thought I'd lost my marbles. As I began to plan the trip and studied at the Musee d'Orsay she found me brilliant!
