SARIYA TAL - SARITA TAL :- Sariyatal is among the numerous lakes of Kumaon range and is fed by a beautiful stream surrounded by lush green picturesque landscape. The water of the stream is very cold. This deep emerald lake is also referred as Sarita Tal. Apart from the beautiful lake, Sariyatal is also famous for Himalayan Botanical Garden which is run by Forest Department. The Botanical Garden, spread over an area of 30 hectares, is a prominent center of study. It has a collection of several rare and endangered native plant species. SARIYA TAL - SARITA TAL Though small, yet very alluring is Sariyatal which is located at a distance of just 5 kilometres from Nainital. This almost heart-shaped lake is quite appealing due it’s blue shimmering waters and serene environment. You can spend some time in solitude here basking in the lap of nature. Visible from the hilly road, the lake looks green and beautiful with the reflection of surrounding trees. The Himalayan Botanic Gardens, an important centre for the study of botany, is situated along the banks of this lake. Within this botanical garden, a butterfly park, library, herbarium, fernery and auditorium are located.
