You're Perfect to Me || Deed
A little smile appeared of Reed’s face for what seemed like the hundredth time. He moved his head slightly and kissed Dash on the cheek when he noticed that the boy in front of him was blushing. “Adorable" He muttered. “It was a really good song choice… It actually pretty much makes me think that I shouldn’t really change myself and just be happy with what I look like…" He trailed off. Every time he mentioned that he shouldn’t change himself, it reminded him that what he had been doing to himself was wrong and he needed to change that before things get worse. “I will one day, I-I promise" Reed spoke, giving a little smile of reassurance. “And you’re perfect to me" He added, his eyes meeting Dash’s gaze. “I promise that I won’t get worse… But to only get better" The older boy said, emphasizing the word ‘promise’.
Usually when a person asked to see Reed’s stomach or to touch it would’ve been to examine it and say ‘you’re too skinny’ but when Dash touched it he didn’t have any negative feeling in him. “I love you too Dash. This’ll sounds super cheesy and stuff but every second I spend being your boyfriend I fall deeper and deeper in love with you" Reed responded, an embarrassed grin occurring shortly after he stopped speaking. “And I won’t stop loving you, either" He added, leaning in and kissing Dash again. Ten years apart from Dash was a nightmare. He hated that time period so much because all he wanted was to be happy but his father didn’t seem to care about Reed, only himself and Axel, Joel Andy and Emmelie. Some days, Reed wished he could just go back in time and protest against his dad a lot more. Maybe he would’ve given in? “One day, I will prove how much I love you" Reed said, pulling back from the kiss but his lips still lingered near Dash’s.
"Good, that's exactly what I wanted you to think after hearing that. You're perfect just the way you are, Reed. All you need to do is get healthy, so you can live a long life beside me. If you die prematurely because of your eating disorder, I'm dying prematurely as well. I can't live without my heart and soul." he rested his hand on top of Reed's heart, "And that's you. You've become my life, and I don't know when that happened, but I'm not complaining. I love you, and you love me and that's really all that matters in this world. We've healed each other so far, which is amazing. I never thought I'd be able to talk around someone normally again, but here I am, speaking in long paragraphs to you, because I just... I'm so consumed with love for you, and I want to give you all of who I am. And when we're both ready, I do want to take that next step with you, and lay it all out on the table." he said, brushing a strand of curls behind his ear.
Dash blushed and ducked his head. "It's okay, even though it's super cheesy, because you know that I feel the same way about you." he said, smiling up at the boy in front of him. Back when they were little, Reed had been shorter than Dash by a few inches, and now, it was the exact opposite. "You prove it everyday, just by sticking by my side." Dash said against Reed's lips, his fingers coming to gently tug on his curls. He pulled back, looking his now boyfriend straight in the eyes. "Reed, you waiting ten years to be with me, even if you didn't actually know that you would ever see me again... that proves how much you love me. You waited for a decade for a love you didn't even know would still be there." he said, sliding his hands down from his curls, tracing the sides of his neck, stopping on his shoulders, which his gave a tight squeeze to. "You don't have to prove anything anymore." Leaning forward, he captured Reed's lips softly in his once more, his hands sliding down to rest on his waist.
