Met this guy for a drink. Started using Seekingarrangements again. I don't use it for the obvious reasons but to meet more established men. We hardly exchanged messages, he asked for my number right away. We met at the soho grand, he's kind of weird, co founder of a software that does 360 viewings of objects. Really really deep voice. He ordered the check after two drinks then invited me to dinner, it was 11pm. Of course I went. We went to a sushi place, blue ribbon, I told him he could just add on to what he's ordering and we could share. He then orders two of what he orders...ok not what I was expecting. He lured me back to his place since it was right across the street. We made out for a bit but I left before anything further happened. He did not get my uber and he was pretty upset about me leaving. Happy Holidays, guys! We all wish we were like the characters above but you know how it goes... Being single in NYC during the hoildays is diffult - finding someone in the city to spend the holidays wish is even more difficult when you don't like people but still want the benefits of a boy friend.

A little bit about myself in relation to my first post: I'm a 20 year old girl living in Downtown NYC. I moved here about 2 years ago. New York City is probably the lonliest place on Earth, but that's what I love about it, you could be around a million other people and be completely alone. I'm an individual, I love my alone time and I love doing things on my own. I am only human though and doing certain things with a boyfriend ilke person keeps me grounded. Even if it's just a night with a stranger where we act like we've been dating for 2 years. That's just it about New York City, you can get lost in it with anyone at anytime, being consumed by the city is what makes it great and doing it with another who has no judgement on you makes it that much more fun. Thus is where my facination with serial dating in NYC stems from.

I will be using this platform as a Tell All to my dating experiences in the big New York City over the past two years. That's right, the good, the bad and the ugly from getting stood up to last minute trips to Colorado with strangers. It all started with me, the city and most likely, a dating app. Lets start with the basics. How do you start dating in New York City? You could go out to a bar and wait for someone to start talking to you but you are more likely to go out with friends and that makes you less approachable for those potential suiters. Going to a bar by yourself is weird. What if no one talks to you? then you're hanging out by yourself...looking like a sad lonely girl... You hear all of these people meeting their significant others online on apps like Tinder, Bumble, Grindr so you think you should give it a try. You download the apps, fill out your profiles (basically all the same) and start swiping. It's easy and it's fun, seeing all the elidgable bachelors around you. You know how it goes.
