A little visitor!

This cute ball of feathers is a juvenile little owl that was brought into the centre, this afternoon, after being discovered alone at the base of a tree near a busy road.

Our vet, Maru, found it to be thin and dehydrated, but otherwise okay, so she put it into a nice warm incubator for some rest. It is being fed regularly, and we will be keeping a close eye on it for the next few days!

This is the second little owl we have admitted this week, and we believe they might be siblings. The story of the first owl is coming very soon!
