Quick sketch of Hybrid and a bit of her backstory for y'all

Hybrid is a hybrid between an era 1 peridot and an era 2 peridot (hence the nickname she gave herself). She turned out this way because the diamonds were running out of Pink Diamond’s juices when making the batch of peridots Hybrid was from, so Hybrid has a lot less of Pink Diamond’s juices than an era 1 peridot, but still has enough to not need limb enhancers like era 2 peridots do. She is technically an off-color so she *should’ve* gotten shattered. But for some reason Yellow Diamond spared her (probably ‘cause Hybrid kinda looks like her and she probably liked that). So instead of getting shattered, Hybrid was tasked with recording important events throughout the palace. And that’s what Hybrid did. Well, until she got lonely and bored. Since she was put off to the side in her own little quarters in the ceiling and ended up being forgotten, she decided to install hidden cameras all throughout the palace to watch more interesting things. That's when she got *really* invested. She started watching gems in their most private moments, she watched gems illegally fall in love and fuse, she watched higher up gems abuse the smaller ones, and she even watched Yellow Diamond try to get close to Blue Diamond, all from her computers in her little headquarters. So she’s basically just a freak, you’re probably thinking. And you’re right. She is a freak. But she’s a freak because she’s lonely. Think of her kinda like one of those single people that read fanfictions about their favorite ships instead of sleeping (cough cough, kinda like us, cough cough). She thinks of it all like a story that she wishes she could be a part of; the only thing is that when she does get her chance to do just that when era 3 comes around, shes so used to the comfort of watching her “friends” from far away that she refuses to let go of her freaky habits. She isn't really a good person, but thaat's what makes her so interesting.

And that’s gonna be all that I tell y’all until I release the fanfic about her.
