not going to church for even 1 week has me feeling weird⊠let this be a reminder fam: donât let the enemy steal the goodness of gathering at a place with other believers to worship the Lord, learn about Him, & encourage one another. donât take church for granted, & donât let skipping (for what ever reasons) become a habit⊠because the enemy can & will use anything he can to steer you away from places youâll learn & grow in truth.
May 15th is the feast day of Saint Dymphna, the patron saint for nervousness and mental afflictions.
Hear us, O God, Our Saviour, as we honor St. Dymphna, patron of those afflicted with mental and emotional illness. Help us to be inspired by her example and comforted by her merciful help. Amen.
âDymphna was born in Ireland sometime in the seventh century to a pagan father and devout Christian mother. When she was fourteen, she consecrated herself to Christ and took a vow of chastity. What does the Bible say: Ghosts
The Bible teaches very clearly that there are indeed spirit beings who can connect with and appear in our physical world. The Bible identifies these beings as angels and demons. Angels are spirit beings who are faithful in serving God. Angels are righteous, good, and holy. Demons are fallen angels, angels who rebelled against God. Demons are evil, deceptive, and destructive. According to 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, demons disguises themselves as âangels of lightâ and as âservants of righteousness.â Appearing as a âghostâ and impersonating a deceased human being definitely seem to be within the power and abilities that demons possess. But the Bible makes it very clear that ghosts or spirits are not deceased human beings.Â
Human beings can not remain on earth and haunt the living. Hebrews 9:27 declares, âMan is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.â That is what happens to a personâs soul after death. The result of this judgment is heaven for the believer (2 Corinthians 5:6-8; Philippians 1:23) and hell for the unbeliever (Matthew 25:46; Luke 16:22-24). There is no in-between. There is no possibility of remaining on earth in spirit form as a ghost.Â
What about ghost activity today, well demons will do anything within their power to deceive people and lead people away from God. This is very likely the explanation of ghostly activity today. If there is any evil spiritual activity occurring, it is the work of demons, not deceased human beings.
