This drawings is really comforting to me.
The camp is quiet except for the crickets and the sound of the water. Cody sits at the edge of the dock, legs dangling above the water, staring at his reflection. Getting lost in his thoughts. He hears footsteps behind him.
“Most people come out here because they’re having a crisis. If you’re planning one, I’d like to schedule mine for after you’re done.” Noah says as he approaches the dirty blonde haired boy
Cody lets out a small laugh but doesn’t look away from the water
“I’m not… I just needed air. Today was..for the most part rough.” cody sighed
Noah sat beside him, sitting cross legged He’s silent for a moment
“You’ve been quieter lately. Which is concerning because your always annoying me about how Gwen rejected you for the 5th time this week’” Noah said looking over at cody
Cody sighs, leaning back on his arms.
“no no, nothing like that. I guess I’ve been feeling kind of… invisible. Everyone here has some big personality. And I’m just… me… theres nothing special about me” Cody dug his face into his hands. Feeling embarrassed since he doesn't like being seen like this.
Especially not in front of Noah.
Noah glances at him, eyes softer than usual.
“‘Just you is pretty much the reason this place isn’t completely unbearable..and your not boring..at times..I guess” Noah looked at the lake
Cody finally looks at him, confused.
Noah swallows, looking anywhere but Cody.
“Noah… are you actually bein nice?!"
“Don’t make it weird. I’m attempting honesty. It’s painful, especially when your making that..face at me” Noah sweated trying to hide his soft smile
Cody laughs again
“I appreciate it. Really. I didn’t think anyone noticed how I was feeling.” Cody touched the back of his neck shyly
“I noticed.”
“I always notice you.”
Noah turns a shade of red after admitting that

Cody blinks, his cheeks turning pink.
“What… what does that mean?”
Noah lets out a breath like if he's gonna rip off a band-aid
“It means that I care about you.. Uhh More than I probably should for someone who hates the Entire human population.” Noah shudders
Cody’s eyes widen, and his voice comes out low and genuine
“Noah… I care about you too. Like… a lot..heh..” Cody does his signature dorky chuckle while looking like a tomato
Noah turns to him fully now, nervous in a way Cody has never seen.
“So we’re both idiots who didn’t say anything until we were sitting at a creepy lake in the middle of the night?” Noah lightens the mood
“Pretty much.”
There’s a quiet, warm tension..Cody shifts closer, their shoulders brushin against each others both of them still pretending it’s an accident.
“For what it’s worth… I really like you.” Cody admits while looking up at noah
Noah looks at him
“Yeah. I really like you too.”

Cody grins again, bright, genuine, the kind that makes noah look away because it makes Noah's face turn red
“So… what happens now?” Cody notices Noah's flustered state
“Well nothing too dramatic. But knowing this island… probably a challenge involving bears and shark” Noah makes a joke
Cody nudges him playfully.
“I meant… with us” Cody laughs at Noah's playful response
Noah’s voice softens again.
“We take it one day at a time. Together.”
Cody’s smile widens as he leans his head lightly on Noah’s shoulder. Noah tenses and then relaxes, letting the moment happen
The lake makes noises quietly beneath the stars as the two of them sit close, finally on the same page
[Its si cringe waaa, but I didn't go back and fix it cuz im lazy]
He learnt to play guitar between seasons, but only electric guitar.
More electrokinetic Cody because it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything about it. Also because drawing an arc of electricity in the vague shape of a guitar is more fun than actually drawing a guitar.
This whole sequence is non-diegetic in the episode anyway, so going for spectacle over logic isn’t gonna break the power-scale or anything. That non-diegeticness isn’t gonna stop me from making him look sunburnt to a crisp though.
