Each year that passes since sept 11 the sacrifice that those first responders made for the well being of total strangers is amplified in my mind and heart. It baffles me as I am impatient on the sidewalk most days for strangers to get outa my way (sad but true)...I think of their families and friends and the void that was left in their lives. That sense of self sacrifice feels rare these days and it should be honored and respected (as it is by this amazing tribute).
