“Anytime, Davy.” She eagerly hugged him back, smiling happily as she held him close. “Your father is a complicated man. I imagine he’d play it off as nothing at first, then pull you aside and give you an earful of what he’s really feeling. But I don’t think he regrets anything” Pepper chuckled as she pulled out of the hug. Her eyes narrowed when she saw David bring the cigarette out of his pocket. “Nope, not around me you don’t.” She snatched it out of his hand, throwing it in the nearest trash can before turning back around to face her son, a smile on her lips once again.
David moved to grab it as in protest before it hit the trash can but only scowled a bit, "It's not gonna kill anyone ma." He huffed and turned on his heel only to grab another one and place it between his lips. "It relieves stress ya know."

“No, no, not at all.” She cleared her throat softly, dropping her head a moment. “Well…how about we start over? I’m Læla, I’m a goddess and a princess and I’m trying really, really, really hard to pretend to be normal. And you are David, a sweet guy who’s not going to make a big deal out of this…?”
David nodding in response before he put the smoke out and flicked it into the trash can, "Or hello my name is David Stark. A genius billionaire's son and I would like to take the lovely Laela out on a date. Yes or no?" He chuckled slightly raising a nervous hand to his thick brown hair.

Pepper rolled her eyes. “Why am I not surprised? But honestly, David, when you get down to it, don’t you always tell me what you’re up to?” She teased him again, though a kind and loving smile was still playing at her lips. “Your father really will be giving me an earful about that; you better thank me when I have to take that bullet for you.”
"Thank you mom you're the best." He smiled, wrapping arms around her to pull her into a tight hug. "Think he is sick of the pranks yet? Think he regrets making Loki someone who I am now rather close to?" David chuckled softly before pulling away and reaching into his pocket for a cigarette. "I would be if I were him."

“I just…I thought you realized…” After a short paused, she ran her fingers through her hair, tugging at the ends a moment before spitting out, quickly “I am a God. I’m Thor’s daughter…I thought you’d understood that when I introduced myself…”
David huffed out the smoke before turning back to glance at her, "Well shit. I guess this makes me look like a total dick, huh?" He shrugged, flicking the ashes away again, "I'm not exactly into mythology and as for your father I have only met him once. Please forgive me for not understanding that a name gave off if someone was a god or not."

David sat there playing his guitar, rather distracted by the melodies it played, “If you’re looking for the old man or my mother I suggest you ask JARVIS where they are.”
“And why would I need to ask him where he is? I could probably look on the TV and it would tell me. And your mother’s never far behind where your father is so no, I am not looking for them. Although I am not quite sure how I ended up here…it’s a nice place though.”
"It's Stark tower. My dad owns it. Of course it is nice." He rolled his eyes unamused, "Though if you have no business here I suggest you walk out the doors you came. Pops doesn't like having strangers in his house."

Læla’s face flushed dark with humiliation, and she put out the cigarette quickly into her palm. “I should go. I should really, really go. I…”
The teenager couldn't help but feel ashamed that he had upset Laela, "Look I didn't mean it..." He paused, pursing his lips tightly together as he took a long drag, the stress showing on his face.

“Well, lucky for you I do know you, rather well if I do say so myself, so it’s easy for me to see your true intentions.” Pepper teased him lovingly, smiling kindly at her son. “What exactly didn’t you do, might I ask?”
He went silent for a moment before his smirk grew. "Now what would be the fun in telling you if you can't have the old man ranting into your ear about Loki and I making his lab look trashed when it isn't." David stopped talking only to realize he had just told Pepper what him and his god father had done.

“Did…I not already say that?” Her smile fell slightly, and she looked away, running her spare hand through her hair. Now she was embarrassed— Usually, with a last name like hers, most people figured out who she was. “No, I’ve never heard of smoking…”
David paused, placing the cigarette back in between his lips, "Look. I didn't mean to offend you. It's not like you're a god or something like my dad's friend Thor. HAH. That would be awkward." He smiled slightly trying to cheer her up, "I'm sorry. I was just raised to be blunt... I don't normally lie unless it gets me out of trouble."

“Am I not allowed to compliment my mother without having to be in trouble.” He smiled raising his eye brows upwards, “If dad complains later it wasn’t my fault.”
“Of course you are, it’s just that normally there’s a reason behind it.” Pepper replied, a laugh falling from her lips as David went on. “How did I know you were going to say something like that? Do I know you or what?”
"You know I was hoping you did know me. It would be horrible to have a mother who had raised me for nineteen years and not know a single thing about me." David chuckled and moved his head to the side childishly. "Like I said I didn't do it, alright?"

“That’s……nice of you to say. Thank you.” She attempted a smile to accompany her remarks.
"I know." he admitted with a chuckle before rolling his eyes to the side. "What do you do here anyway?"

“Well, I presume not choking would be being good at it.” She laughed a moment, licking her lips before bringing the cigarette back to her mouth. “Tell me, if it doesn’t sound…really, really stupid…why do mortals do this?
David chuckled as he exhaled the smoke, "Mortals? Don't tell me you think you're some funky immortal chick." He laughed, flicking the end of the stick to get rid of ashes. "It relieves stress I guess. Why? Have you never heard of smoking?"

“Please. make yourself comfortable,” Lestat said sarcastically once he had sat down, but he was smiling. He liked it when there was rebellion in young people like this. “Lestat,” he answered before a waitress came by. “Would you like something? Have it on me,” he said nodding to him before ordering a French Vanilla latte. He couldn’t drink it, but the warmth and the scent calmed him.
David chuckled, looking him over before turning to face the waitress, "Well beautiful I will take a slice of cheese cake." As soon as the female left he smiled and turned back to Lestat, blue eyes wandering over his face structure, "Where are you from?"

“How’s the most beautiful woman in the world?” The teenager smiled, looking over his mother.
“Are you trying to soften me up for bad news or something I don’t want to hear about?” Pepper asked, playfully questioning her sons intentions.
"Am I not allowed to compliment my mother without having to be in trouble." He smiled raising his eye brows upwards, "If dad complains later it wasn't my fault."

She rolled her eyes at his comments, before she replied. “I have no problem with that. I’ve been called worse.”
"Wouldn't surprise me by the way you look." He shrugged, inhaling the smoke again, "People disgust me when they treat beautiful women like you horribly. They need to be hit."

She did as he said, slow to inhale…Her eyes watering a moment before she exhaled again, a laugh escaping her lips at the odd sensations, “Oh. That’s…different. I guess I’m not very good at this, huh?”
"There's nothing to be good at. It's just breathing." He mused before lighting his own cigarette. His fingers coming up to wrap around the stick before he inhaled a bit, allowing it to pass over his lips.
