Elena gave a soft laugh before pointing to the land around them. “Just pick up some of the trash or broken tree limbs or anything that really doesn’t belong.”

"Okay, yeah, I can do that,” she said and picked up a trash bag. “This area must be the prime spot to litter soda cans,” she pointed out, shaking her head.

Kade raised an eyebrow at her comment before rolling his eyes. “Don’t freak yourself out.” He said stiffly, noticing her nervousness almost immediately. A sigh left his lips as he crossed his arms over his chest. “You talk more than the average human does.”

“I’m not,” she mumbled, although her nerves always did seem to stand out. Why is he so serious? “How much does the average human talk?” she asked with her usual curiosity. “Like, how many words a day? Do you know?”

“Maybe that’s bad luck,” she blurted out. “I mean- I’m not saying you’re bad luck or anything; maybe you ate something,” she laughed nervously. “Well, if you ever plan on telling me anything, I’ll be running around the park.” She shrugged at his observation. “I don’t think I talk that much, I just... I don’t know. I like knowing things.”
