Headcanon for the Hell's Kitchen AU:

According to Wikipedia, MSG was created in 1908.

And HK!Muzan is unable to properly taste things, right?

Therefore, he'd definitely Uncle Roger levels of MSG fanboy.

Had a dream some time ago (which kinda prompted the whole Realm!Muzan being a pastries enjoyer thing) where, for whatever reason, Muzan, Kokushibo, Douma and Akaza were living in the same house.

Akaza and Muzan go shopping and Muzan literally fills the cart with frozen pastries, unable to understand why Akaza wasn't happy. Their conversation was something like:

Akaza: We came here for peas.

Muzan: Which are already in the cart, yes.

Akaza: ... what are we supposed to do with so much frozen stuff?

Muzan: My car has enough space, transporting them home is no problem.

Akaza: THAT IS NOT THE ISSUE! *continues arguing but moving past me, who was a random shopper in the dream*

Realm!Muzan still having his body mouths from his final form, except their sole purpose is to secretly store and snack on sweets during meetings.

Imagine Muzan taking over the Reich for petty reasons (something something demons being superior lifeforms in his opinion & the Aryan propaganda technically helping him bend the situation in his favor; he'd milk this opportunity dry and you cannot convince me otherwise). Pretty standard, expect for maximum chaos value, let's say demons aren't the only folklore creatures roaming the Earth.

So Muzan gets to play Fuhrer and ruler of 1/3 of the world, but he also has to now maneuver around vampires, werewolves and other cryptids he originally had zero intention to interact with.

He'd probably lose his mind over vampire lords calling him and his demons "distant cousins" while also being incapable of proving the contrary. Especially if the "cousin race" argument is the thing giving him some semblance of legimacy over the territories.

So, technically less of a TMITHC crossover and more of a "children of the night from different cultures having to interact relatively peacefully & the TMITHC map just happens to be a convenient excuse for it"

I think Realm demons don't really have to deal with the nutritional value of the things they eat, only the calorie count. As in they could survive off cake if so they want, as long as the food provides them with more energy than they consume.

That being said, upon learning humans actually require a balanced diet, Muzan will 100% enter scientist mode to figure out the best menu for his guests because he is in intellectual procrastination phase and needs a distraction a good host who cares about their comfort.

Felt the need to take a small break from my main series (really, all I can lately think for it is obscure and contradicting worldbuilding, so a small distraction should help clear things up. Right?!)

Hadn't played HSR in a while, but I thought about something.

Toshikuni and Muzan would definitely be a Clara & Svarog situation (two characters, one unit)

Like, try to tell me Muzan wouldn't obliterate anyone who looks funny at his son youngest clone. Hands will be thrown immediately and indiscriminately.

Meanwhile, Toshi by himself is as menacing as a golden retriever.

Ngl, it would be hella funny to have DRAU!Muzan and canon Muzan switch places for a day.

They'd both hate the experience, but for wholly different reasons:

Canon Muzan

Not being able to kill Tsukihiko, Kimiko, or whoever dares to do anything but worship the ground he walks on. Especially Tsukihiko, he'd particularly hate a clone of himself being such a troll and mostly at Muzan’s own personal expense.

General realm typical insanity. Like yes, he can walk under the sun here, but is it really worth the price?

Also, Yoriichi lives there now. Enough said with that.

DRAU Muzan

Feels like a man from modern times thrown into the Stone Age. Everything is so barbaric compared to what he's used to and he hates it.

Can't have cake, demonkind is an embarrassment and no one is paying their taxes. No wonder Canon him never achieved anything.

Keeps forgetting he has to actively avoid slayers. Somehow ends up at the Corps HQ anyway and gets beaten badly at Go by Kagaya multiple times. It was fun, tho, 10/10 would do it again rather than interacting with the Kizuki.

He'd drive the Upper Moons crazy with gems like "So... all demons here share other me's blood. Family reunions must be awkward. Do I count as family by proxy then?" And worst part? He's 100% serious.

Ngl, felt a bit devious bullying Muzan so hard this chapter, but hey, whatever it takes to hit that golden ratio between serious stuff and shameless shitpost I guess.

I may have not delivered anything anniversary-related ( I was attempting a bit with the festival barely subplot, but then again, is it really the best timing for that? Nah, we have some actual plot to overlook for now & springtime is a better moment to hold the festival anyway) but an update is an update.

(Also, this is mostly me celebrating the fact I got invested in one story for so long, my past record isn't the greatest in that regard, so I'm going to shitpost about it with low quality memes until I get bored).

No but like what's with random shower thoughts that make sense just enough because you can see the vision if you squint really hard, but no sane person reading your fanfic would be like "Hm, yes, Muzan and his clones can be read as an allegory to civilization cycles in this fanfic, even their order matches".

Muzan

The golden age. Civilization stagnating at its peak, literally the *perpetual* state of perfection he desires.

Tsukihiko

The decadence that follows. Basically the "easy times create weak men, weak men create hard times" discourse that was trending on Facebook some years ago.

Kimiko

Reactionary order. Overzealous to counter the previous' effects to the point of totalitarism. Unhappiness among population is growing like wildfire.

Three

Purge / revolution. An anarchist at odds with both the controlling order and the self-serving nature of those before him. The fire that burns indiscriminately and aims to create a new world order.

Toshikuni

Rebirth. After the dust sets, a hopeful cycle begins anew. Likely to develop into another golden age (Toshikuni being a child version of Muzan) with his own particularities.

Then rinse and repeat.

Like ??? I can see why my brain is trying to convince me things are much deeper than they are ( because it's cool and we like exploring what ifs in general), but why must it insist this is now canon?

I'm not sure if you guys would enjoy this, but here's a Muzan-centric series I began writing a while ago. Started as a shitpost to fight writer block, ended up as one of my main projects I'm still working on.

Basically, it takes place in a different dimension ruled by demons where Muzan turns his past disguises (adult, woman and child) into actual people / clones of himself and has to navigate the consequences of dealing with increasingly more independent versions of himself while having the emotional intelligence of a wet tissue.

So he's dad failing hard, especially since he doesn't seem to realize his clones see him as a father figure. A shitty one, but parental figure nonetheless.

New Vestroia AU

New Vestroia AU where a lab accident transports the king and the prince in an alternate universe where they willingly gave up their royal titles after the first part of the season to have a quiet life in the countryside and work on fixing their relationship. The original duo has a hard time getting used to that lifestyle, especially the king who can't understand any of his counterpart's choices or why he's so overprotective of his son and his small garden. Hydon is amazed by his counterpart's wholesome relationship with his father and tries to copy whatever he thinks would improve his own relationship with his dad, which most of the time ends in failure due to Zenoheld being, well, Zenoheld. The AU duo also try to help them get along while they are trapped in their universe, which leads to a lot of tension and awkward interactions in the house (plus a potential fist fight if the original king won't stop insulting both AU king's garden and son).
