At the end of last week, I accidentally spilled some water on the keyboard of my work laptop and, even though I wiped it off pretty quickly, it decided to completely stop working. So now I’m waiting for IT to get a new one ready for me instead of bringing the damaged one in for repair since apparently I was due for a new laptop anyways as the damaged one is three years old. So I’ve been answering emails from my phone, and you know how iPhones will suggest words depending on what you type the most? I almost signed off on an email with “Thanks, Bellamort” because apparently that is what I have typed the most after my own name, Bella. The second suggestion was Bellatrix. I’m so damn glad I take two seconds to proofread all my emails before sending because I have absolutely zero idea how I would’ve explained either of those. But at least that gave me a laugh on an otherwise dreary day.

Is it “irreconcilable differences” when your spouse keeps defending their dumb anti-vax family and friends and entertaining their moronic conspiracy theories to the point that you’re not sure you even like them as a person anymore? When you literally work with doctors and scientific researchers but they choose to listen to idiots spouting misinformation on Facebook? When their uncle says that your grandma, who was hospitalized with COVID in the spring of 2020 and could’ve died but thankfully recovered, was probably “cured by the sun” since she lives in Florida? I’m just…so done.
