another shot of multiple universe occurring simultaneously. i love to think about how no matter what our lives have contained up until this point we all ended up on the same pier at the same time, soaking in the sweet summer sun

i love the way the odd horizon line makes you want to see more, like you're missing out on something, maybe something exciting. where's the body of the boat ? the trunk of the tree ? i'm on my tip toes, tugging at the sand, attempting to see the rest of the shot, trying to be included

this one feels like perception vs reality, external vs internal. although physically close on the beach, the boats on the horizon depict the mental distance between the pair. in the words of the wizards of waverly place theme song, everything is not what it seems.

of course i don't know these people or their stories, but once they are in front of the camera lens they become characters within the universe of the picture plane, defined by whatever else i choose to capture within the frame, and how i interpret it
