Hello! To start off: thank you to all our readers for supporting our scanlations over the years. It’s been a long journey (3 years!!) and we couldn’t have done it without all the support and love. <3
However, like all good things, it must come to an end.
Unfortunately, we are no longer “no longer behind” on BSD chapters… and this may be the case indefinitely. Due to general work/life issues, the Dazaiscans team is going on hiatus and will no longer be scanlating Bungo Stray Dogs.
If you’re still interested in keeping up with BSD, please consider supporting Yen Press’ official release!

Due to life, chapter 74* is running late... Chapter 75 74.5 is available as of 45 minutes ago, so for those who haven’t read it, here’s a summary of the previous chapter in the meantime!
* We called the last chapter “Bonus Chapter 74” to make it easier to keep it in order but June’s chapter was the actual Chapter 74.
Also, an important note from Chapter 75 74.5: BSD will be taking a well-earned break next month, and will return with a new chapter in September!
Chapter 74 - SKYFALL, Part 1
The chapter opens with the dust settling on Teruko, in her taller adult form, having stopped the unmanned aircraft heading for casino. Michizou has a realization about the Decay of Angels' next plot just as the aircraft reveals its cargo, piles and piles of coin bombs.
After another huge explosion, Teruko is seen nonchalantly hanging out of the hole in the side of the casino. Michizou pulls her back up, while thinking about how their excellent teamwork paid off... Right before the coins in the aircraft exploded, he'd used his metal manipulation ability to detonate the coins still hidden in the floor, and that explosion lifted the aircraft enough that it was light enough for Teruko to hurl it away from the casino. If they'd been any less coordinated, it wouldn't have worked.
He tells Teruko what he thinks the Decay of Angels' next plot is: using the casino as a way to hand out the coin bombs, they'll wait until the coins have spread all over the world as people spend and exchange them. Then, when the time is right, all of the bombs will detonate at once. Because people tend to carry money close to their bodies, the bombs are sure to cause countless casualties. It also means that the Decay of Angels is targeting people, not buildings or machinery.
Meanwhile, four hours in the past, Ango has explained the same plot to Atsushi, Kyouka and Lucy.
While Atsushi is horrified by the idea of the terrorists indscriminately killing people all over the world, Ango calls that simple plot "cute" in comparison to their real aim. He warns that the real attack is the "panic" that will follow the bombs... with people having lost trust in their own currency and banks, the world's economies will cease to function.
Ango is certain that this is the third step in the Decay of Angels' plan, and one that could lead to a world war on its own.
Meanwhile, back in the present and on board the casino, Teruko realizes why Sigma was so quick to try and get rid of them: the casino is going to serve as the detonator for the bombs. From its altitude and with its nebulous status as an entity not attached to any one country, it would be easy for the casino to broadcast the signal to trigger the bombs and difficult for police forces to stop it.
Knowing they have to warn everyone on the ground, Teruko sets off (with Michizou in tow) for the casino's central communications room... only to be stopped by a troop of armed soldiers.
Teruko just laughs, and the chapter ends with her asking the soldiers, "Do you really want to dance with me that badly?"

While we have unequivocal faith that our actions are permissible under the Fair Use Clause, given that we have never profited from our work nor published any YenPress content (the legal definition of distribution), we have equal unequivocal faith that YenPress can hire better lawyers than we can and will summarily levy criminal and civil charges that will stick regardless of the truth should we give them the means to do so. As such, we are disinclined to file a contestation. This means that the tumblr Dazaiscans blog will very likely be deleted in its entirety soon. We have no intention of abandoning our readers or our work on Bungou Stray Dogs, but it will likely have to be through platforms other than tumblr. We are maintaining our twitter account and discord server, and chapters will of course be available through the usual means on Imgur and Mangadex. Again, thank you for your support over the years.
For Discord, we were previously sending invites to those who sent us a message in our inbox on Tumblr. We’ll continue to do that so long as our account is still here. Feel free to send us an invite request via direct message on Twitter as well! (We have had incidents in the past that have deterred us from using a public invite link, which is why we have opted for this method.)

Due to finals and holiday busyness and business, we are running behind on this month’s chapter. It should be out soon, but since the new YA will probably be out sooner, here’s a somewhat detailed summary of Chapter 69!
Chapter 69 – Record of a Jailbreak
The single color page is a flashback to the cliffhanger from Chapter 68 with Tachihara Michizo pointing a gun at Yosano – which shall remain, for now, a cliffhanger because the scene shifts to…
Oguri Mushitarou, locked up, and composing a letter to the late Yokomizo. He describes the life of luxury he’s living in a private room (a prison cell) with gourmet meals (on a tray) and all the time in the world (…that part is accurate) to read books he’s never even considered before (a washing machine manual), while he’s sure the idiot Yokomizo is still stupid even in death.
He can’t keep up the façade for long, but before he can get too emotional, Atsushi and Kyouka proceed to crash through his ceiling.
Atsushi introduces himself and explains that they’re here to rescue Oguri. Kyouka confirms that Demon Snow has knocked out the guards outside, so it’s time to goooo…
Except that Oguri declines.
He knows that the ADA wants to know more about the Decay of Angels, but they have nothing that he wants. He’s fine staying where he is and doesn’t even want to leave (now that Yokomizo is gone)! Atsushi is shocked, but Kyouka simply mentions Oguri’s “manuscript” and reminds him that Ranpo said it could released to the public, ruining Yokomizo’s final mystery.
Oguri grumpily agrees to go along with them, accusing the ADA of being a criminal organization for using such a tactic. Kyouka doesn’t care, saying she’ll be anything to save the ADA.
Secretly, Oguri decides to get Atsushi and Kyouka caught instead of escaping with them, so he enacts his master plan of being really loud.
Attempt 1: rolling on the floor crying about a sudden stomach ache. Luckily! Kyouka knows a special acupuncture point that helps with stomach pain – namely, stabbing Oguri somewhere else so he’s distracted from his stomach pain. Miraculously, Oguri’s stomach pain is cured.
Attempt 2: claiming that the hallway chosen for escape is astrologically bad. Luckily! Kyouka knows a special acupuncture point for that too! Once again a miracle occurs and the “bad direction” is no longer bad.
Then they notice that the guards are leaving, and there’s some kind of fuss outside, so they look out a window and see:
Sakaguchi Ango, arriving with a squad of military police. Ango directs the bank manager to clear the bank and leave the criminals to him.
Meanwhile, Oguri’s panic becomes real when he notices who’s outside. When Atsushi is once again confused by his sudden urgency, he asks if they’ve ever heard of “The Seventh Agency,” a criminal group that specializes in covering up and erasing crimes. They were the ones holding Oguri when Fyodor came to “rescue” him and recruit him for Cannibalism, and they’re led by none other than
Sakaguchi Ango
:OOOOO
Innocent Atsushi can’t believe that Ango, a government employee, could be the leader of such a group, but Oguri scoffs at him. The government has a dark side, too, and The Seventh Agency is part of that. Oguri is certain of this because he was the one being made to erase evidence and records of governmental and political crimes.
If they’re caught, Oguri says, he’ll be imprisoned for the rest of his life, and Atsushi and Kyouka will be killed. Kyouka adds to the urgency of the situation by mentioning that Ango’s Abilities Secret Services has soldiers that are so skilled that even the Mafia doesn’t like to tangle with them.
Oguri confidently announces that he has a way to get them out. He has them hold stolen money (aka the evidence from a robbery) over their heads, erasing it – and them – from the view of the cameras with his ability.
Just as Oguri is celebrating his victory, Ango and some soldiers appear nearby. Oguri begins to doubt his ability, Atsushi suggests hiding in a safe, and Kyouka vetoes that suggesting due to a complete lack of escape routes (good idea, Atsushi). As Oguri is trying to think of a new plan, he sees Yokomizo, who comments on how similar this situation is to a “locked room” mystery, where it seems like it’d be impossible for the criminal to get in or out of the crime scene without detection. He suggests that it’d make for a great mystery if these criminals were able to escape, and so Oguri charges ahead into… the next chapter!

None of our scans are actually posted directly to Tumblr anyway, so they can always be found on Imgur and Mangadex. We also have a Twitter and Discord chat. We are not planning to leave Tumblr, but if it should be deleted in the next few weeks, we’ll keep you guys posted through those platforms as to wherever we end up.
Thanks to @arashidono for bringing this to my attention! We messed up this line the first time around (even our native Japanese speaker proofreader didn’t catch it... too much rushing around) but I’ve double-checked and so please note:

On page 19, Yosano says that explosives were planted on the ship, implying that it was done by the enemy. However it was actually Yosano herself who planted the explosives and was then arrested for it.
We’ll get the scans updated ASAP but it may take a few hours!
