i'm SO sorry for the huge gap in my activity here, everyone! unfortunately i am chronically ill, mentally ill, and disabled - and over these past few years (?) of inactivity, i've been going through a lot. tons of doctor's appointments, for a long time i was sleeping like 18+ hours a day...the like. reading about yandev grooming ANOTHER person and being creepy is gross, but not surprising. yuck. i'll try to clear out the ask box here if i can, but some of the asks are old!

If you're still here in 2023, YandereDev groomed another girl. And this time he has manipulated her into retracting the story and defending him. He's been in contact with her since she was 9 and now she's a mod in his Discord server. Anyone who tries to DM her asking about the situation gets banned. The Osana subreddit has info and so does Decepticommie on TikTok. Many volunteers and VAs quit the project as well, including the voices of Ayano and Senpai.

For a long time, I had strongly felt that I'd said everything I needed to say on the subject, and so I set this blog aside and focused on other matters in my life. But a friend abreast of the situation recently updated me on these latest happenings and I had to chime in again. It frustrated me to no end that I couldn't substantiate my side of the story with any definitive proof - and now the truth is plain for everyone with functioning eyes to see, at the cost of yet another minor being victimized. Who's to say how many people he's preyed on between then and now...I see comments all the time from people claiming to have had less-than-savory encounters with him or worse, and I'm sure there are many more who either don't think anything of it or are enjoying the attention who will only later realize how it's affected them. It took me years to really understand why my interactions with Eva were a big deal at the time, and making my voice heard in order to try to prevent as many people from falling victim to him as possible became the only correct course of action for me.

Without substantiative evidence, my voice only reached so far. But, finally, thanks to this girl coming forward, people are abandoning his project and leaving him to dry. Like he deserves. It's a small justice; really he should be in prison. But if some good can come out of this, if we can prevent more abuse from happening in the future, then we can breathe some small sigh of relief that things are moving in the right direction at last.

"Jane," as everyone is referring to you out of respect not to use your real name - if you see this, please reach out to me. I didn't want to breach your trust and privacy by tracking down your contact info, but I would very much like to talk to you and to hear your side of the story. Where you are right now, things are too close and too chaotic for you to have much clarity in this situation about what to do, I know. It's a lot. But I would love to help support you any way I can as someone who knows exactly what you're going through.

I'm glad as well, not only does it make it harder for him to maintain relevancy and thus makes it harder for him to get access to children who idealize him, it also its just good to see a shitty person experience consequences.

Of course the victim is supporting the abuser. That's literally one of the effects of grooming. It took me years to stop blaming myself and rationalising the abusers behaviour and blowing up at people who called my abuser creepy. To the point where I didn't even break up with them because of the CSA it was because of them trying to cheat.

This is exactly why 'non-perfect' victims need support. It takes time to actually understand what happened to you

every time someone says “but she says she wasn’t groomed!!” …do you know what “grooming” means? of course the person who was GROOMED doesn’t think they were being GROOMED.

i defended my abuser for YEARS and the only reason we broke off when i was 14 was because my parents found out. and i felt what jelly is feeling— like i broke up with a boyfriend. i was heartbroken. if you read my diary entries from our time together too, they sound a lot like how jelly talks about dev: “i know it’s wrong and i know he’s taking advantage of me but i just love being around him so much”, essentially. i also didn’t have a healthy relationship with my parents nor a good home life and i think that made me a target for predators, bc they knew i craved stability and love from an adult.

my best friend hated him while i was “dating” him and i made them apologize for being rude to him. we are still best friends to this day, have been since elementary school. and since i’ve been able to see the forest through the trees, i’ve thanked them for trying to help me, even if i didn’t listen.

this is something that takes time. people forget she’s a kid!

Hello Everyone. I know its been awhile since anyone has last posted here, but considering the recent developments I thought it was important to make some sort of post. Yandere Dev, aka Alex Mahan, has recently had another person come forward with allegations against him. Some of you may know that before this most recent set of allegations, he has had prior allegations against him by sisefs, which you can find detailed on this blog and theirs. I'm glad the people who associate with him have since stepped down from the project, but there is a long way to go in removing any power he has. I know yandere sim is still dear to a lot of people, but at this point I think that making fanart, stories, videos, ect, will potentially expose more minors to Alex. It is hard to turn a child fanbase against it's creator, the comments of his blogpost prove that. We have to make sure any route for him to get in contact with underage people is as hard as possible.

If you would like a more comprehensive summary of the allegation's, AllyMcC has video on them. Yandere Dev also has a blogpost that confirms most of what was said while also "woah is meing" about it, if any of you care to read you can find it on his blog. The gaslighting and voice calls are absolutely disgusting. You can also hear so many of his past opinions shining through. I'm sad more young people have been hurt by Alex, but I hope that this brave persons story has prevented any future victim's of Alex. I'm glad she came forward to Ally, may she have peace and healing.

Sometimes concepts are made by terrible people unfortunately. I didn't see Monika's post as praising the game or Yan-dairy dev. Do people who redesign and rework the game's story support Alex too? No, they do not. I think liking an aspect of the game is vastly different from supporting and praise. Hell, I still enjoy some of the characters but in no way do I support Alex or think they're the best since sliced bread. Hope you're all having a good day.

how can you be aware of all the horrid shit yandev has done and does and then still praise his game just because he managed to make a single part thats not absolute dogshit one singular time? i think i get ur intentions in trying to be fair but he just absolutely does not deserve that kind of goodwill and it looks very bad on your part to praise his work despite being aware of how horrible he is as a person

i wasn't sure what this was in reference to until i checked back at the blog, because i definitely didn't recall giving yandev any priase myself. but! checking made me realize mod monika did. either way, i'm feeling a bit defensive of my fellow mods and i'd like to answer this.

i don't think it looks bad on our part, i think that YOU think it looks bad on our part, anon. from what i read of mod monika's post, she didn't seem to be singing yandev praises; all she did was point things out in the game that weren't, as you put it, "not absolute dogshit." she wasn't praising him as a person, nor was she acting like the game was the best thing she's ever played. literally all she did was point out some positives in the game, which she is perfectly allowed to do, seeing as she's a mod on this blog and has the right to do what she pleases (as long as it isn't completely out of the ballpark, of course).

you can think a single piece of media made by a shitty person has positives to it. for example, there are specific fanfic authors in a fandom i am part of that are not good people, and generally write grotesque, uncomfortable fics i avoid at all costs. but that doesn't mean i can't point out that their writing style is polished/well done, or that i can't see a fic by them that isn't hot garbage and think that it's actually half-decent.

you need to take a chill pill, anon. mod monika wasn't kissing yandev's feet or anything, she was simply pointing out that this specific portion of the game actually has some positives to it. i'm sorry that you think a person commenting on a positive part of a piece of media made by a universally bad person is an act of like, unprecedented good will or something.

here’s something that might shock you, hell I doubt a lot of y’all will believe me, but I like the concept of yandere simulator. I truly do, but I do not like Yandere Dev, and I do not like the execution of this concept. So, seeing him actually do something that was interesting, I came on here just wanting to share my thoughts.

I didn’t say “damn bro, this update was the best thing I’ve ever seen, I’m now a YanDev stan and y’all should all be too!!! you all should also ignore everything he’s done in the past because 1980s mode was better than I anticipated!!!”

Criticism is what I intend to do on this blog (a lot of people think this is just a hate blog, but I don’t see it that way). But yes, criticism can be pointing out flaws and offering possible solutions, but criticism can be pointing out positives and offering ways to improve.

Like Mod Sayori said, if any of y’all think of me as a traitor for “””praising yandere dev’s””” work, unfollow this blog. thanks

Hey y’all, long time no see.

Just wanted to stop by and share my thoughts

10 Rivals Mode/1980s Mode is better than I expected. I like Ryoba as a character more than Ayano because she actually fits the definition of a typical yandere girl, the NPC’s themselves look good (I like the hair models), and the rivals are somewhat generic but kinda interesting. I do like that there is a simple tutorial that explains the basics and doesn’t involve reading bricks of text to figure out what to do. My only big complaint is the lack of voice acting from most of the main characters — it made the game feel empty but I understand Dev’s reason for not being able to implement it in the game. All in all, not a bad update. I kinda wish 1980s mode was the real game tbfh, like things make sense (mostly) and I feel like I can take this part of the game more seriously?
