「 like fire and a disturbance, darling, you're an emergency 」
Quietude was but a mere allegory in the realm of those irrepressible by the sight of kaleidoscopic cerise lights— some were indeed too fast to live, others, grievously too young to die, withal, shackled by their own perception of time and enchanted by the idea of life were the mortals nowadays. Operating solely on autopilot with an unabridged disdain for righteousness, therefore, favorable were the shortcuts and hind pathways that could eventually lead towards the desired destination, any sense of concern absent regardless of any hazard a force of nature has to reckon.
And he, your dear boy, was much more than a mundane rainstorm. No! No! No! No! What a sublime turbulence was he! Come! Come; gather all to see the real daredevil perform. ( stunning it shall not be! perhaps, startling for those not like you. such parade would never come for free Sirens! Sirens! Sirens! an emergency, you will face after a phone call minutes too late. ) Crimson and azure—vermilion stirring divergent hues of blue tainted the ivory surface of the precinct’s walls, as the lights that constantly reflected against the cold glass of wintery windows illuminated ethereal beauty’s every step. Soft clicks echoed through the corridor as your high heels met the marbled floor, for there was no time to be improvidently whither, at least not when a beloved one awaits your amity! Yet, look how elegant you can be! Like regality, it would seem! Spine straight and head held high as long fingers pushed the door open in a hasten glide. attracting every longing stare as long luscious legs strolled past innumerous desks. One glance in particular was acknowledge by topaz colored orbs with translucent composure—slender digits haltingly curled around the metallic support of your beloved’s chair, an obvious preservative stance of svelte frame sheltering his reckless built. Defying him, defying them all, you were! As you, disclosing such authoritative behavior in someone else’s domain, persisted in behold his glance. Nothing was as inestimable as the beloved ones in your care, and you would be anathematize before allowing any audacious soul the privilege of endangering them. “Would any of the present gentlemen care to humor an outsider on the previous events?” Dulcet voice resounded serenely, ominous, for velvet tune sheltered the hail befitting a february child that slithered in your every word. “It would be in your best interest to not oblige me to repeat myself, it is rude to maintain a lady awaiting.” Inquisitive glance was divert towards the young firecracker under your care, eyebrows gently arched in a wordless demand for cooperation. He, of all the males gathering around the police inspector’s desk, should already be aware of the fact that if you could not bend heaven, you would never hesitate before raising hell. After all, pride had always been a sin tenderly shared. He shall not dare to tremble, quiver or crack! At least not while you have him sheltered However, he must not let out his breath for you both shall not leave until the very reason for the assault is uncovered.
Without having to sit up, without opening his eyes, Yixing already knew Song Qian had set foot in the establishment. He could sense her presence when he was still trying to get comfortable in this rather uncomfortable metal chair. He almost preferred the holding cells. At least they had metal benches for his to stretch out as they wished and he could lay his head back. Instead, he scooted half way down the chair just so he could rest his head on the chair’s top rail. Both arms were placed on the rests with hands clasped just beneath his chest. A prince upon his throne waiting for the guest of honor to arrive ( or maybe just take a nap in the process ).
“Better answer the lady when she’s still asking nicely.”
A sour expression found its way over his features as he listened to the officer who detained him and the man sitting beside him piece together the events of night. There was one wrinkle in the fabric of his tale after another. It felt too unfitting and unseemly for Yixing to bear. His hands fell apart from its folded position, swollen fingers and bleeding knuckles like red petals unfurling from its bloom. He braced himself with the arm rests as he sat himself up. A small groan from the soreness of his torso was suppressed behind clenched teeth. The muscles were repairing themselves but much too slowly for his liking.
“First of all.” His gaze turned to the man in a worse state with hair matted with blood and darkened eye. “Get up. The lady needs a seat.”
Yixing’s mouth parted to give away to the bubbling chuckle that came at the expense of the other man when he struggled to speak with a mouth still full of blood.
“Fuck you!” The man spat at Yixing but getting up nonetheless when he laid eyes on Song Qian. “I’m doing this because it’s what a man should do for a beautiful lady and not because some brat told me to. Here you go, sweetheart,” he gestured to the empty seat.
Yixing could feel his pupils narrow to the mere size of pin pricks at the other man. His smile remained but grew tight around the edges. “Keep going and the brat’s gonna knock out another wisdom tooth free of charge for you.
“Mom,” his voice softened. Not by much, but for those who knew could take notice of the vast difference. “Listen, I was ju--”
“Mom?!” A voice interjected in. Yixing scowled. The scent of the man’s blood filled Yixing’s nose every time he opened his mouth. Quite frankly, Yixing was quickly growing ill of it. “How can such a young, pretty woman have already given birth to an asshole like you?”
The officer added his own voice to the cacophony. Yixing’s breath wavered under his own stirring annoyance. He had half a mind to get up and show himself out. He humored these humans long enough. Didn’t they have better things to do with their lives tacked with expiration dates instead of waste his time?
“I didn’t throw the first punch. Or the second,” he stated, not giving a shit whether anybody other than his mom heard him. All the subsequent punches, however, he did throw. He didn’t have to rely on friends or other weapons to win a fight like some jackasses.
