ok can we talk about how jackson and holt in ghouls rule are the best representation(in our opinion as a system and a lighter skinned black person, not white passing but still ) as a white passing teen or a system in a while?
looking at ghouls rule from jackson's perspective it starts off HORRIBLY, these people who look like you(normies) suddenly attack the school you go to which is full of minoritized indivuals and because you look like them suddenly you arent trusted.(im using a lot of personal pronouns cuz....introject and what not) and its made very clear that even before this jackson was not well like before the events of the movie, Manny Taur is a great example of this. jackson litterally just bumps into him and suddenly its "Normie this" and yadayadayda. What does that sound like??A white passing black kid doing something slightly wrong and suddenly its "fuck off [insert racist saying] then when he tries to warn the monster "Hey, Holt is kinda rude and unreliable" THEY IGNORE HIM! THEY STILL FORCE HOLT TO FRONT THEN GET UPSET WHEN HE ACTS EXACTLY HOW THEY WERE INFORMED HE WOULD ACT!! then jackson wakes up IN FUCKING PRISON probally dazed and confused as fuck because why am i in fucking jail?? WHAT DOES THAT SOUND LIKE??? a forced switch and bad amnesia commonly expericanced with systems. now jackson has to fucking code switch to convince the cop to get out of jail, he goes to the normie school having to mask so heavily he doesnt understand that the normies are sorta chill, THEN HIS FUCKING TRIGGER HAPPENS and what happens??? holts fronting again!!!! then jackson comes back at the end getting kissed by a really cute girl. WOO HOO happy ending all around right? HELL NO.
Ghouls rule from holts perspective is fucking terrifying!!! From how we saw ghouls rule jackson very much masks his holt side because he's scared of what could happen if he's not in control. So at the begginning Holt fronts and its clear this is the first time in a bit, He litterally thanks Manny for causing him to front, hes exstatic! Its clear that jackson and holt have minimul to no communtication which is so sad because so many issues couldve been solved. Holt is seen as a very loud, blunt, and energetic person. These traits are seen to be negative in the eyes of most of the monsters, as a black person these traits are common but they are almost always punished. If your loud your automatically violent, if your blunt youre a rude bitch, if your energitic about something that isnt a sport suddenly you have to be on drugs. after one of the attacks holt wakes up and everyone is chanting his name happily, this must is kinda insane because most of the time people would rather deal with Jackson's wimp ass then Holt, so obivously he unmasks and let's himself let loose, THEN HE'S FALSEY ACCUSED OF VANDILISM because he's the "evil/mean/too much alter" insert the blank space of jackson being at school, and when he fronts again because music is clearly his trigger(a few other things trigger them too but that another rant for another day) HE'S TERRIFIED he litterally hides in a closet to protect himself and subsiquentally jackson too. then when he's caught he's sent to fucking exuction as an example by a corrupt white cop. because "the people want justice" NOW WHAT DOES THAT SOUND LIKE??? the fucking lynchings that were done to black people, and while its happening HES TRYING TO LAUGH IT OFF, he's trying so hard to stay light and positive then he looks up and sees his litteral death. and you can see that he finnally realizes this is real. its happening. he's going to die for something he didnt do. hes about to DIE because of the lies of a white woman( fuck lilith's bitcha ass.) then we he gets saved he tries to give this cute girl a kiss just to be fucking rejected for his other self.
jackson, a very much white passing indivual got the good ending. he got the girl they both wanted, he didnt have to stare at his own demise
holt, someone who could easily be interpreted as a yound black teen, was arrested, framed, almost killed, anf rejected all in practically the same night.
I will always stand by the fact that Jackson and Holt are a system, and that they are a representaion of systems who have alters of very opposing personalities and a white passing kid who constantly has to code switch just to keep themself safe.

also like. the monster high diaries, idk how canon they are tbh but the fact jackson has said that his mom makes it seem like she hates his half monster half human traits and that he wishes that there was a simple way to be a different person, which reminds me of how a loootttt of white women get with black men cus of that "exotic" and "bad boy" ugh i cant even put it to words, then they get a mixed baby as a result and then hold some biases against the child THEY produced
and how clair puts on the ear mittens to kiss jackson rather than holt was soooo icky to me, like broooo you cant have one and not the other !!!!!
