dear friend, i try 😭 unfortunately i am now a chronically ill premed student with multiple jobs and adult responsibilities (none of which was true upon starting this blog) and if i am being so for real, those things make keeping up with this blog or any blog very difficult for me.

i work on recommendations when i can but that’s not nearly as often as i’d like and there’s several asks that have been sitting in the inbox for quite some time. but please know that i appreciate you all so much! i fear i have simply overextended myself in general 🥲

my god this has been sitting in our drafts for who knows how long i am SO sorry. anyway!!

one of my absolute FAVORITE things in this entire fandom is @considerablecolors’ neil perry is not okay series. everything i’ve read by the author has been a work of art and this series really dives deep into neil’s mental health, featuring depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and eating disorders. in fact, my love for that series is what drove me to start writing for dps and resulted in another semi-angsty mental health fic, the light in your eyes. that one also features depression, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm, plus some really shitty poetry because i wrote it when i was thirteen 😭

so that gives you about 90,000 words in total and i think that’s enough for the moment - feel free to come back when you’re done and i’ll try to answer a little faster this time!

knox is STUPID AS FUCK for the first half of this btw. i love him for it. charlie is only a little stupid. but they're very cute, and so are neil and todd. there is also a sequel that i haven't read recently but i remember reading it at some point and really enjoying it.

this feels like it could be a whole cinematic masterpiece if someone put it on a screen. it's set 11 years after dps so they're all adults, charlie has a daughter, they haven't seen neil in over a decade, and it focuses on both charlie/knox and neil/todd with meeks/pitts being casually also in love on the side.

i would really love to find some more but this has already taken me a lot longer than it probably should've because i fell asleep in the middle of it (because my body hates me). i hope you enjoy these fics though!

i completely forgot about this fic until literally today and now that i've remembered it i don't think i will ever forget it again. there is some very mild smut, as well as plenty more that's implied, but it's brief and fairly easy to skip if that's not your thing. this one also features chris/ginny and nonbinary charlie!!

do you have any fic recs with lots of pitts in it?

you know, fics featuring pitts shouldn't be so difficult to find, but i did the math and out of all 1663 fics in the dead poet's society tag on ao3, only 32.6% of them have pitts listed as a character and it's honestly kind of tragic.

Could anyone recommend any Anderperry sickfics where Neil is the one who's sick? People usually do Todd but Neil is human too and deserves to be show comforted and loved just as much as a his boyfriend.
