Dark Fae Copper and Gemstone handmade Necklace Deep burnished Copper treated to bring out the natural flame colours. Flashing, irresistible Labradorite set in a Sterling Silver Bezel. Lustrous, decadent Smokey Quartz faceted droplets. Fathomless Golden Sheen Obsidian. Bring it all together and you have a spectacular piece called Dark Fae. I used copper as the base and acid-etched a tree into the copper. The branches hold up a stunning Labradorite cabochon set in a Sterling Silver bezel, and the Celtic feel of the tree holding up the gemstone is enhanced by the oxidisation process which brings out the natural flame colours within the copper. An intricate copper wire weave design enhances the central element and holds exquisite Smokey Quartz droplets which exude an otherworldly beauty to enhance the overall design. The copper wire weave gives way to Gold Sheen Obsidian in a Rosary link chain held together by a beautiful heart-shaped toggle clasp. Bridgerton Crystal Necklace in period 1800s style This piece is inspired by the stunning jewellery in Bridgerton, and the fabulous necklaces worn in the 1800s. I have used hundreds of deep purple crystals with highlights of clear aurora crystals to build a highly intricate necklace. Hundreds and hundreds of tiny glass, silver-lined seed beads and purple glass seed beads bind each segment together with gorgeous Swarovski glass Pearls set into the main mandala sections. Each mandala segment is slightly different to create intricate detail. Furthermore, each piece is three-dimensional. The pearls and crystals combine as the perfect materials for period jewellery, and the piece glitters with romantic splendour. The neckline is created from a complex weave of crystals and glass seed beads to build a soft, flowing river of silver and crystal around the neckline. Gemstone Bead Embroidery Cuff on Copper This unique, one-off cuff bracelet took over a week of hand sewing, to sew in thousands of tiny glass beads and gemstones. However, the finished result looks spectacular! I have used Gold and Blue glass seed beads as the base and set 3 stunning gemstone cabochons into the cuff. The largest central one is Labradorite, and the 2 smaller ones are Ruby-Zoisite. Surrounding the cabochons are Garnet and Labradorite stones, and I have used Freshwater Pearls as accents. Further colour comes from fabulous Peridot gemstones set into patches to give texture. The entire piece is set off with Shibori Silk, which is hand-dyed and hand pleated. The vivid colours look incredible against the gemstones and seed beads and bring the entire piece to life. I have set the embroidery onto a solid Copper cuff which you may slide on and off. It's one size fits all, and you may gently prize the opening wider to accommodate any size of wrist. This is totally unique and a one-off. Mother Of Dragons Handmade Necklace This is the most ambitious piece I have ever made, and it took me two weeks to complete. Thousands of glass seed beads with stunning Magatama Spike beads went into this dramatic Dragon necklace and over 50 hours of intense hand sewing. I have used a combination of various glass seed beads to create the Dragon tail necklace. TIny gold-lined Delica beads, Gold Miyuki seed beads, stunning color-changing copper tone size 8 Miyuki seed beads, and color-changing, iridescent Magatama beads combine to create the complex and time-consuming design. The technique involves sewing every single glass bead into place by hand to form a complex spiral of different size and shaped beads. The result builds an undulating spiral where the larger Magatama beads stand out like the spikes of a Dragon to coil around your neck. The entire necklace is made from glass with a Gold Plated heart-shaped metal Toggle clasp. The necklace measures a generous 20 inches. If you want it made longer, I can add a little chain, so message me. This is a very intensive make, over many, many days and hours. It is a very complex necklace, and it uses a huge amount of materials to create the finished design. However, every minute was worth it as the result is simply spectacular. The colors of the various types of beads glow and shift, and it really does look like the tail of a Dragon coiling around your neck. Butterfly Trio Solid Silver Necklace set with Pink Tourmaline Gemstones I used solid silver to cast each butterfly, and I polished them in such as way as to show the detail in the wings. They look so delicate and pretty, as if they may take flight at any moment. The largest butterfly is 2.5cm by 2cm, and the smaller ones measure 1.5cm x 0.8cm. Pave Smokey Quartz Gemstone Pendant This is a new skill for me, and it took many hours to set hundreds of tiny Austrian crystals into the Pave setting. However, the final effect was worth learning because the pendant sparkles like a fabulous star. I have set a stunning Smokey Quartz Faceted Pear Gemstone into the center of the pendant. I then Pave set clear Austrian crystals and Black crystals around the gemstone to frame it. Each crystal is 2mm in size, and they sparkle like individual suns. The Smokey Quartz has an incredible depth and really is an outstanding gemstone. The pendant measures 1 inch by 0.7 inchs and comes set on a 22inch 925 Sterling Silver Snake Chain. Once complete, I used Liver Of Sulphur to patinate the copper which lends it a deep, lustrous finish with the most gorgeous colour. Furthermore, the treatment highlights the weave and allows the gemstones to stand out in the design. The Pendant measures 2.5 inches by 2 inches and is built into the 18-inch Rosary linked chain. The chain finishes with a gorgeous heart-shaped toggle clasp. However, the Gold Shimmer Obsidion, or Dragon Glass, really steals the show. Each gemstone shimmers and moves with a golden glow caused by minerals trapped within the Lava when it formed. I have used graduated sizes of Gold Shimmer Obsidian to make the neckline so that it doesn't feel too chunky and sits elegantly around the throat. This is a highly detailed, intricate piece that proves eminently wearable with divine gemstones full of mystery and meaning. 'Gandalf's Tears' handmade Opalite Necklace and matching earrings with Swarovski Crystals Opalite is a man-made stone created from glass and volcanic ash. It results in an artificial Opal that glows with internal light and radiates a gentle colour. It's magical to look at, and so very pretty. I have combined various sizes of Opalite to create this necklace and matching earring set. I used silver-lined glass seed beads to bead around the larger stones and interspersed the glass beads with Swarovski crystals to make them sparkle. Crystal Opal set in a Freshwater Baroque Pearl set in Sterling Silver with Cubic Zirconia. Crystal Opal refers to an Opal that has incredible clarity to allow you to see the rainbow colours inside. However, the gemstone is so rare and so valuable that lapidarist slice the Crystal Opal set it onto Ironstone, and then cover it with clear Quartz. It allows them to maximize the yield of this very rare gemstone but allows us to appreciate the full beauty and magnificence of the stone. The Crystal Opal used here was mined in Australia. It demonstrates the full range of colours including red, purple, green, yellow, and blue, and is truly a magnificent example of the stone. I have set it within a Baroque Freshwater Pearl that almost looks like a flower. The Pearl has a fabulous rainbow shimmer over the Nacra surface. I set a solid silver bail into the Pearl, and the bail is set with three dazzling cubic zirconia stones which, like the Opal, is filled with fire.
