DJI Phantom 4 is here!
DJI has just launched their latest drone, the Phantom 4, and it promises to be easier to fly and harder to crash.
The Phantom 4 comes with a ton of new automated features, including an automated stopping and avoidance system for upcoming obstacles, and a follow me mode that requires no physical piloting.
Improving on its predecessors, the new Phantom includes four sensors which have sonar detection and point cloud stereoscopic recognition, which warn the drone of upcoming obstacles, so it can avoid them automatically.
The new Active Track feature allows you to tap on a person or object and the drone will follow and track them with the camera, without any input needed from the pilot.
Or you can use Tap Fly, where you simply tap a place on your live view screen and the Phantom 4 will fly there.
The body of the Phantom 4 is new and improved too, with a sleeker, more rounded body and more efficient propellers, raised to allow filming at high speeds, without the blades cutting into the shot.
A new sport mode has also been added for more experienced pilots to get more impressive, high speed action shots.
Retailing at around £1230, the DJI is affordable, accelerated drone technology for experts and enthusiasts looking to up their flying game.
