Throwback Thursday - Shared Lives
In 2014, Deadline Digital was commissioned to produce an overview film and supporting case studies for Barnsley Council’s Shared Lives - a scheme to help people with learning disability live a more independent life.
The Shared Lives scheme recruits, assesses and supports carers who offer accommodation or care and support in their own family home to the service users. Because of this, people using the Shared Lives scheme have the opportunity to be part of the carer’s family and the local community.
