After becoming a doctor, after dedicating your life to studying, enduring long nights, exhaustion, and responsibility?
Have you tried building yourself up year after year, opening a pharmacy with your own sweat, and becoming a source of livelihood for yourself and others… and then suddenly, in a single moment, the war on Gaza wipes everything out.
My pharmacy is destroyed.
Not just walls and medicine… my life, my hopes, my stability are shattered.
Today, instead of being a person who serves others with my knowledge, I find myself reaching out, begging for a chance to return to life.
Not because I enjoy asking, but because the war left no choice.
The hardest feeling is to be broken through no fault of your own, and to be transformed from a doctor… into someone viewed as a “beggar,” just because he wants to live with dignity again.
This isn't weakness… this is the pain of a person deprived of their right to life.
We Will Not Be Silent — Stand With LGBTQ+ Refugees in East Africa
I will never stop speaking out for our rights and freedoms. As LGBTQ+ people here in East Africa, we face many serious challenges every day — discrimination, isolation, violence, racism, and constant attacks.
Many of us lack basic needs such as food, sanitary pads for lesbians and other community members, and essential medication. Because of these hardships, many people are struggling with depression, stress, and other mental health problems. Hunger has also caused serious stomach illnesses, including ulcers. Some of our friends are living with severe wounds from repeated attacks, while others suffer from diseases such as malaria, typhoid, cholera, and HIV.
We cannot survive on our own.
To our queer friends and allies everywhere: if you see this message, please stand with us. Your donation can help provide food, medical care, hygiene supplies, and safety for hundreds of LGBTQ+ refugees here in East Africa.
Every contribution, no matter how small, can help save lives.

Words are no longer enough to capture the tragedy my family and I endure.
My name is Wedad Shadi, I am 15 years old, and I live in Gaza, Palestine.🇵🇸
Our home was completely destroyed, and now we live in a torn, fragile tent. We are a family of 7, and my mother, father, and my little sister Mira were injured when our house was bombed.
My mother and Mira are in urgent need of medical treatment, but we have nothing to pay for their care, not even food to survive.
My mother and my sister were injured during the war. I am terrified of losing them… please, don’t leave me without my mother and sister. They need urgent help to survive.
They desperately need medicine and medical treatment, as shown in the videos. Every moment without help is a struggle for their lives.
Please, I beg you… save them, help us, and give them a chance to live. 🙏💔
I have started school, but I could not register because I cannot afford the fees.
Please, I beg you to help us. Donate to save my mother and my innocent little sister before it’s too late. Every contribution can save a life and bring hope to a family in desperate need.
Every day we wake up to the same reality: destroyed homes, no safety, no stability, and needs that keep growing.
People think the pain paused… but for us, it never did.
Even with a so-called “ceasefire,” nothing has really stopped.
The explosions, the drones, the fear — the violations never ended.
And our suffering definitely didn’t.
Your support is the only reason many of us manage to keep going.
Your donation 🙏🙏 — no matter how small — can mean medicine, food, warmth, and a little bit of dignity in a life that’s been stripped of everything.
Please, stand with us. Don’t let this struggle fade from the world’s attention.
We still desperately need you to get back on our feet.

post/759027876281679872 - OK, what did he do / say this time?
If you're referring to the Costas post, nothing new. Someone on my dash was just idolizing him (the actor, not the character) which always rubs me the wrong way. Like Hoffman all you want, he's an interesting character, but Costas Mandylor is a racist, transphobic POS. He doesn't deserve admiration.
We laughed, we dreamed, we celebrated every small moment together.
On Valentine’s Day, we used to take photos, smile, and promise each other a long life side by side.
Today… war has torn us apart.
The man who used to hold my hand and protect our family is now lying injured, separated from me in intensive care. I cannot even sit beside him. I cannot comfort him. I cannot tell him that we are still fighting to survive.
War did not just destroy buildings. It destroyed our safety, our stability, our simple happiness.
We are no longer celebrating love — we are fighting to keep it alive.
I am a wife standing alone, trying to care for my children while my husband battles his injuries. Medical needs, food, basic survival — everything has become a daily struggle.
If you ever celebrated love… please help us protect ours.
Your donation, no matter how small, can help us survive this nightmare and keep our family together.
Please don’t scroll past us.
Stand with us.
Help us rebuild what war tried to erase. 🤍

A Mother’s Plea: Help Us Survive and Protect My Unborn Child
My name is Sahar. Like any young woman, I dreamed of a stable and happy life. I was engaged to Mohammad, and together, we dreamed of building a warm little home where we could start our life. We spent years preparing our house, but just before our wedding, everything was destroyed in an instant by the war.
I was faced with a choice: to leave Mohammad in the midst of this chaos or to stand by him and begin our journey together, no matter how difficult it might be. I chose him. We got married, not in the dream wedding I had envisioned, but under the harsh reality of war. Our new home became a fragile tent, offering neither comfort nor security.
Today, I am seven months pregnant and living in constant fear for my unborn daughter. I am terrified of the world she will be born into—a world of poverty, hunger, and freezing cold. We’ve been displaced over nine times, carrying nothing but the weight of loss and the hope for survival. The house we dreamed of is now rubble, and the tent we live in barely shields us from the rain and cold.
How will I protect my daughter? We struggle to find enough food. Basic necessities like milk, blankets, and clothing feel impossibly out of reach. The cost of survival has become unbearable. Every night, I am haunted by the thought: how can I bring her into this world, knowing I cannot keep her safe?
I write to you with a heavy heart, pleading for help. I don’t ask for much, just the chance to give my daughter a safe beginning, a life with warmth and dignity. Every small donation can be a lifeline for us, and even sharing our story can make a difference. Please, help us survive this storm and rebuild our shattered lives.

I write to you with a heavy heart, burdened by need and shame, but my hope in God and in you is great. We are on the verge of the blessed month of Ramadan, and I truly need your support so that I can secure my family's basic needs for this holy month. We need flour, oil, thyme, cheese, gas, and some other essential household items so that I can provide simple meals for my children during Ramadan. My responsibility is immense; I am a mother, and after God, I have no one but my children, and you are my support after Him. Your donation, even if it is small, will make a huge difference in our lives and will help me bring peace to my children's hearts during this holy month. Please stand with me in this difficult time and consider my children as your own. May God reward you abundantly and grant you double the reward in this blessed month. Your sister, Haifa Hamid

I am Inas, a mother of two young children: Muhammad, 7 years old, and Hala, 5 years old. They should have been living their childhood like all children—safe and warm in the embrace of their father. But the war has stolen that dream from us😭😭😭
Six months ago, my husband Anas, a kind-hearted man who endured a life of poverty, was killed by a random shell while on his way to work as a taxi driver. Since that tragic day, I’ve been left to carry the unbearable weight of life alone.
I held a diploma in international secretarial studies and was about to start a job to help support my family. But the war shattered not only our home but also my hopes and dreams. We’ve been displaced six times and now live in a tent that offers no shelter from the bitter cold or the ever-looming fear.
My young children face relentless hunger that weakens their fragile bodies and a cold that knows no mercy for their small hearts. Each day, their cries for warmth and food grow louder, and each day, I feel more helpless to provide them with even the basics of life💔😭😭
I appeal to your humanity, to your compassion. We need your help to survive, to find a safe shelter, and to feed my children. Your generosity could be the reason Muhammad and Hala continue to live and find hope amidst this darkness🥹
Please, help me keep the light of these innocent children from being extinguished by this cruel world

Khan Younis… a city overwhelmed by displacement, suffocating under the weight of tents and silent screams.Families fleeing from one danger into another, with nothing but broken dreams and borrowed blankets.
Children are starving. Mothers spend the day searching for crumbs. Fathers are shadows of themselves, carrying pain they can’t express. No clean water. No food. No medicine.
This is not a page from history — this is now. In Khan Younis. In the dust and mud, among torn tents and empty pots.
Hunger is the only language left. The cries are loud, even if the world has stopped listening.

I am Kholoud from Gaza, a mother of two sick children who suffer from a skin disease called ichthyosis. I have no source of income to provide treatment for my children. We are displaced in a dilapidated tent. My children are suffering from illness and hunger. Please donate so that I can relieve my children and provide them with treatment and food.
