☽║☾ Anubis wraps an arm around Arthur’s waist, flashing a dazzling grin. Perhaps its the drink or two he’s had before inviting Arthur over to his apartment, but the god is feeling giddy, the butterflies in his stomach disappearing with each passing moment.

Despite not being the most graceful of dancers, Anubis leads the pair well enough, alcohol freeing up his usual inhibitions. That’s why, when the songends, he doesn’t untangle himself from Arthur, but instead, presses a kiss to the man’s lips. It’s quick, chaste even, but it awakens the more coherent side of the god– and oh goodness, he’s so close to Arthur’s face and– in his clumsiness && sudden revelation, Anubis falls backwards, bringing the surprised man back with him.

Luckily for the pair, Anubis’ floors are carpeted && the fall does nothing but cause Anubis to bite his tongue && promptly check on Arthur to make sure the fall hadn’t hurt him.

“OHMYGODS, are you alright, Arthur? I’m such an idiot when I’m drunk– please forgive me!”

Arthur never remembered falling asleep but he woke up groggily. His limbs felt sore and his joints popped whenever he moved. ‘That’s strange.’ He thought. As a supernatural being, his body shouldn’t be aching. His skin shouldn’t erupt in goosebumps nor should his body react to the temperatures around him but yet it is. It didn’t alarm Arthur at first but then, he felt his heart beat for the first time in centuries. It scared him. What in the world had happened to him the night before? He couldn’t remember much of it to figure out how he, a prideful servant of the goddess DEATH, became nothing more than a mere human with a heartbeat. Had be damned by another god or was there hell to pay? He wasn’t sure. All Arthur knew was he was reverted back to his human self and what was left of his inhuman abilities were either taken away or someone had them. Arthur was set to find out what happen.
