YESTERDAY!! I entered my first ever cosplay competition at my first ever Musical Con
Absolutely incredible, the fact I look confident as if I wasn't Absolutely shitting myself backstage, is kinda surprising. I panicked on stage but I winged the hell out of it and it doesn't look like it, somehow!!
This was my first ever cosplay competition and my first time ever being on stage, especially at a convention!!
When I say I winged it, I absolutely winged the hell out of this. Ran on pure anxiety and panicking to make sure I didn't look too awkward. Thoughts absolutely flooding my head as I was on that stage.
Standing backstage waiting for the judges to call us back on for the results was so wild, absolutely out of body experience. The crowds screaming when my cosplay was mentioned when being asked what their favourite cosplay was absolutely mind blowing. Then the Little Shop of Horror singalong.
An absolute huge shoutout to everyone involved, the crew backstage were incredible, the judges were so kind before, during, and after the contest. Shanay just somehow putting you at ease on stage like it's only the two of us!! My fellow finalists, you were all incredible, absolutely amazing. Us chilling backstage just chatting, it was such a great experience meeting you all!!
Musical Con Thank you so much for an absolutely amazing time.
To anyone thinking about entering a cosplay competition, do it, this was my first time and I was so incredibly anxious, it was terrifying, but such an unforgettable experience, everyone is there for the same thing and everyone is so helpful and kind 💙
My heart is full from today 🥰

August 2020 - 2 years on T
I’m a little early because I’ll probably forget about this. I took these photos a few days ago, but on the 29th I’ll be 2 years.
There is an update for 15 months in the notes of this post :)
I also find it funny that all my photos apart from the 15 months one, have all been between dying my hair blue, because I’ve had blue hair for years xD
Hold onto your horses nerds
We’ve hit 3 years
Also, we hit 10 months post op
How the fuck up nerds!!
We hit 5 years on T
I forgot a year, but here's year 6 on T, and now I'm 7 years on T!!
Yearly photo update, but this time I've put them all together. I seem to have mislaid my 4th year photo and I didn't take one for my 1st year, so I've used photos from around August that year!!
August 29th 2024- August 29th 2018
Today marks 6 years on testosterone.
It means I also get to buy another trans book, because for each anniversary I buy a book because I found them so difficult to find when I first came out and it's such an easy and fun way to celebrate!!
7 years on T!! 29th August 2025
i always underestimate just how many people on tumblr are blogging from work. very beautiful. very powerful.
love seeing this get a burst of notes between the hours of 9am-2pm these past few days
accepting that you’re objectively weird & owning it is infinitely better than being constantly desperate to appear normal to people who don’t even matter to you

For context: I got my first typewriter at the start of June, and in just over 2 months, I currently have 5. I got my second one as a fixerupper so I could be more confident fixing my first one if anything went wrong with it. I fixed that quickly. I then got a 3rd by chance when I saw it in an antiques centre. It was broken and I fixed that one.
After fixing the first 3 (even my first one needed a part replaced) I set out to find one that was unmistakably damaged. So I bought it off ebay because it was in such a state and when I got it and unwrapped it, I realised it was fucked. Exactly what I wanted!!
There weren't many things that were actually working with it for starters. It was completely unusable. So over the course of a month, I slowly worked towards repairing it. Somehow, I got it fully working, there is now not a single thing wrong with it. I know the ribbon on it is the wrong one, I switched it with another one just so I could test it, but it worked.
At the start of June, I had 0 experience, and now, I've fixed 4 typewriters and currently am repairing my 5th. I plan to sell 3, including this one, the first stop is a bootsale. I'm learning a lot and I'm finding it really fun so I may start buying broken ones purely to fix and sell on. I don't expect to make a lot of profit for each one, but it's all going to add up and once I sell 3, I'll have a little bit of profit to actually start buying others from until it builds up!!
ok i absolutely need to know what accents u all have pls reblog and tell me or comment or whatever I must know
First painting in years, and it's Sir Hop-A-Lot
I haven't touch watercolours in years due to depression. I just couldn't bring myself to paint, every time I tried, I would just cry and put everything away before I even put the paintbrush to the paper.
So when a friend mentioned a commission, I was hesitant. I haven't done a commission in at least 5 years. I can't remember the last watercolour painting I did even though it was always my first choice of paint.
I was so scared that I'd lost so much of my skill that I wouldn't be able to see myself in my art anymore and that was honestly terrifying.
But I didn't need to worry so much, yes, I have lost skills. I can personally see that in my painting, I don't know if others can. But that's okay, I can always regain the skills back. But for my first watercolour painting in literal years, I'm really proud of this.
Hopefully I hope that this is what I need to get me back to painting for fun!!
I'm going to scan this into my computer and hopefully have a full copy I can keep and post before I send this copy to my friend
May I present, the scanned in version

Welcome to Hatchetfield.
Take a look at Solomon Lauter's latest attempt to increase tourism to Hatchetfield - an illustrated tourist guide! Too bad someone - his daughter, maybe, or one of those other teen rascals - got a hold of the first copy and marked it up for their own use. And... why are some of the buildings on the map... glowing? City Hall can't afford re-printing any of this...
Welcome to Hatchetfield, the setting for Team StarKid's Hatchetfield musicals series, including The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals, Black Friday, Nerdy Prudes Must Die, Workin' Boys, and the Nightmare Time series.
This fan-created map includes all canonical locations - some are featured locations labeled in the map key section, while others were lovingly added on the map in handwriting, as if written by your favorite character.

For my birthday my brother got me a vintage typewriter, unknowingly bought me my dream one!!
He bought it fully restored, however when it arrived it had a bearing that was broken, leading me to try and find one. My option was the buy a spares and repairs typewriter the same as mine to take the part from hoping that someone else hadn't already taken the piece, or look online for a piece for my 1962-64 typewriter.
I joined a Facebook group for vintage typewriters, and uploaded a photo asking if anyone knew the exact name of the bearing, I was calling it a Carriage Bearing but didn't know if that was correct because I needed to find the exact one to replace the broken part and I'm new to vintage typewriters.
A man commented saying he specialises in this particular typewriter, and if I was in the UK he could possibly help. This was a group for people all over the world, and this seemed too good to be true, but I didn't have much to lose and I'm an adult who can make my own mistakes. He messaged me with a photo saying he had a spare bearing and it will be hard to find because they don't often break ( I found 0 online) and he can send it to me. I offered to pay and £6.70 (including postage) later, I had sent him the money and my address. A few days later the bearing arrived and it was perfect. I replaced it and finally I could type properly!!
So here's my 1962-64 typewriter (can't pin point the exact year even with the serial number) that I will be typing loads of random things on!!
I've also bought another typewriter as a repair job, so I can learn how they work properly and be able to repair my own one if anything goes wrong with it!!
My second typewriter. I've gone from 0 to 2 in under 2 weeks.
The reason for this one, is I wanted one that needed fixing up. Even though it says fulling working, the space bar is stuck and a couple of smaller pieces aren't working properly. It also said 'fully cleaned' but as you can see, that isn't true, the button I started cleaning is actually black.
I wanted a typewriter where I could learn how to repair it without worrying about if I broke it and no rush to actually repair it fully. But it gives me time and space to actually learn about the basics
I love personalization. I love stickers on water bottles and on laptops. I love shitty marker drawing on the toes of converse. I love hand embroidered doodles on jeans. I love posters on walls. I love knick knacks on shelves. I love jewelry with goofy charms. I love when people take things and make them theirs.
