IT'S BIRTHDAY TODAY i'm 30 now!!!

I didn't mention this while in chicago but one day my dad took me into the city so I could visit my work's building and he was like "I'm gonna go to my work at this building across the street, please stay in the area and don't get lost so we can go back on the train together" and I said ok and then immediately got on a boat that took me like 10 miles away

a deer walked into my yard with her 2 children and then yelled at me and I genuinely felt guilty as if I had been scolded by a teacher. anyways I also got it on video.

I've been stuck in bed sick for a lot of this year so I've read a ton of books so far and a lot of those have been (tbh mostly lesbian) romance books. I'm thinking of making a "do I think these characters stay together" chart at the end of the year because holy shit some of these people are not compatible and I have Opinions

had 2 cat food thieves foxes visit my porch today and got some really good footage of them stealing the barn cats' dinner

yesterday I turned the heated mattress pad on for the first time in a week and nyx spent the entire day like this

when I say the barn cats here are a bonded pair, this is what I mean. this is how they walk around together

after MONTHS of my power not going out, it apparently went out multiple times in the past couple days??? I'm really glad my neighbors were cat sitting and checking in on them every day because it fucks up their auto feeders when we lose power. I have no idea why it's happening but it's happening to my neighbors too, so it's everyone on the property

I'm so grateful that I've gotten to hang out with people at the convention, I feel like part of me has forgotten what it's like to regularly interact with and hang out with people like me and feel actually fully socially fulfilled. I'm like a sim with my social bar filled for the first time in a while

I made it to my work building so I could have breakfast at the cafe there and so far, in the 15 minutes I've been here, I have somehow done everything wrong and come off as a strange alien to everyone I've interacted with. so it's going great.

I have had a planet fitness membership for 3 years now and I have never once actually used it to work out. every time I walk into one and see people exercising I remember that it is, in fact, a gym, and most people do indeed use it as a gym. and not as a bathroom/shower facility when on the road. like I do.

I know I complain about this literally every time I leave my isolated little coastal area but holy SHIT is the rest of california hot as fuck

I stupidly did not take this into account when planning my trip. Every airport is at least 3 hours from home so I was like "I'll make this easier on myself by doing the drive the night before my flight and just sleep in my car overnight!" and now I'm in Sacramento and it's 90 degrees and I'm trying to kill time until sunset because it's too fucking hot to be in my car at all rn

I'm getting weird looks from people in the parking lot because it's too hot to do anything but lay in my car with a fan 2 inches from my face

come on. surely everyone has seen weirder things in a planet fitness parking lot. surely there are other things to stare at. it's not my fault I'm melting from the heat.
