Remember when Neptune temporaily separated Sun, Moon, and Eclipse in 《 THIS EPSIDOE 》? Well, I thought it was cool concept if Neptune repromgrammed Eclipse to be more "suitable" star for the family. (Basically, just made Eclipse more violent and bloodthristy while keeping his soft voice.)
I have this headcanon of Eclipse not being able to facially express his emotions therfore most of his "tells" come from body language and vocal pitches. From afar he may seems very stoic, but the poor guy wears his heart on his sleeves. Lately, I been having fun in playing with ways to display this visualy.
This is what I have quickly sketched out, but this might change in the future.
Venus having a copy of Eclipse's data chip reminded me of the "White Christmas" episode of Black Mirror (S02E04).
I know canonalically that it is just going to be Venus checking various of codes, but like.
Wouldn't it be such an interesting concept if Venus ploped Copy Eclipse into a small simulation? She can place him in so many different situations and circumstances just to see if he develops sentience just the same.
Alternatively, (and slightly more boring in my opinion) Venus can ruffle through his memory and thoughts. She will see Saturn in the light that Eclipse sees Saturn. Maybe even feel slightly jeolous of him. Afterall, Eclipse got to spend time with Saturn after she rebuilt herself, while Venus was forced to distance herself from her sister.
Either way after Venus is finished with her expermination, she will know Eclipse better than Saturn knows him, or maybe even better than Eclipse knows himself.
This is more of a ramble than actual theory crafting, but the brain worm has lived rent free in my head. The actual possiblity that Saturn and the overseer are related are slim. (Not zero just very low.) However, the possible dynamics are intriging to me.
The Overseer would obviously know what Teass Eclipse is, and possible threats he may oppose. However, I think he would let slide. Maybe he might even play slightly dum infront of Eclipse, but fully infrom Saturn of dangers. Of course Saturn wouldn't take it to heart. She loves her husband too dearly, plus she already had an idea of that with the whole Austin dilemia.
"You missunderstand. I dont approve of your choice of star or "husband" as his world calls it. Despite this, I will convice your father otherwise"
"Huh?"
"You see, your husband is a periculaity. I doubt the rite of the stars would even be valid considering what he is. However, I know Eclipse or at least other versions of him. If I tried to separate you two by force, it could mean the collapse of everything we are trying to protect."
Addtionally, I think that the Overseer might even try to use Eclipse to possibly track down Ruin and try to guess his next movements. Ruin and Teass Eclipse are practically made by the same event just different circumstances. I believe that Overseer would try to act cordial in order to get Saturn and Eclipse to come over more often. Maybe they might play DND with situations that border on reality in the TSAMS dimenison.
(This might also open the door for Ruin and Eclipse to meet. Albeit on rocky terms since the Overseer will introduce Ruin by his sins first.)
Finally, if you havent caught on yet, I see Saturn and the Overseer's relationship as a Uncle and Niece. Think Scar and Simba, but Scar never killed Musfasa and guided the young king during the early years of his rulling. Saturn doesn't always head the Overseers advice, but does keep it in mind. Vice Versa the Overseer doesn't closely monitor Saturn's actions as he trusts her somewhat.
