“I don’t see why not, unless you have an objection?” he chuckled. “Oh yeah that’s fine. I don’t mind waiting outside if you want? Like I can drive you over there and stay in the car. Mine should be parked outside the station since they said they picked it up from where I got arrested.”

“No, I don’t have any objections. It sounds nice actually.” Liliana confessed, considering the others words for a moment before nodding her head. “Again, if you really don’t mind. It shouldn’t take too long but I don’t want to put you out any more than I have to Tucker.” She admitted, a smile on her lips. He had the ability to make her feel a little unsure about things which wasn’t something she was used to. Maybe because she had spent most of her life quite contained and never having to really question anything. Tucker made her question everything but she loved that. It was like finding an entirely new world.

Tucker’s instinct was to thank her again, but he’d already been doing so much of that. Pretending to shrug it off, Tucker tried to think of a way to thank her without echoing the same two words. “Hey, can I treat you to like a late lunch or something? I feel like it’s the least I can do after you– you know. Bailed me out of jail and all that.”

“Lunch?” Liliana repeated slowly before a little smile drifted onto her lips and she gave a nod. “If you are certain, that’d be nice.” She admitted, biting her lower lip for a moment. “I need to go back home first though if you don’t mind that. I have a few things to do first.” She’d rushed in and out so fast that she’d not had the chance to get them done before. “We could meet in say... half an hour or so?”

“Culinary Arts,” Harvey said with a smile, “I like to cook.”

“Cooking hm?” Lilian answered with a little smile. “I’d love to be good at that. I can cook but not as well as I should.”

“Well I’ve had better days too I suppose,” Harvey said, “Are they often away on business?” He asked curiously, “About me? Well what do you want to know?”

“Not very often but this is a long one. Something I think has needed their attention. My Aunt is here though.” Liliana murmured, shrugging her shoulders. “I don’t know really. What is it you do?”

“We’re friends?” he couldn’t help but let a smirk tilt his lips upwards. As the guard moved to the cell to open it, Tucker looked to her for a moment longer before letting his gaze reach the floor. The door was slid open and he walked out a free man. “I seriously can’t thank you enough, Lil. Who knew you’d be doing a jail break today?” Tucker teased softly.

It was Liliana’s turn to look a little unsure. “Well... I had thought so...” Though she couldn’t speak for Tucker but why else would he have taken her under his wing? Right now probably wasn’t the best time to dwell on it though. When he exited the cell, she nodded her head in acceptance. “You’re welcome. As I said, I couldn’t leave you behind.”

“I don’t know if it would but thanks for offering anyway,” Harvey said, his smile in return reassuringly, hoping to convince the other that he was okay, “So you’ve had better days?”

“Haven’t most people? I’m not saying it’s been terrible, just that things aren’t the best right now. But then my parents are away at the moment... business so there is that.” She didn’t divulge any more than that, didn’t think she could really but it didn’t matter. “Tell me a little bit about you then.”

“Why would you do that for me?” Tucker couldn’t help but ask, the words escaping on their own as he was in clear shock. She had paid his bail. She was setting him free. He didn’t think anybody would ever go to lengths like that for him, especially not the girl that he had only really been a nuisance to. 

The shock in the mans voice caught Liliana a little off guard. She’d like to have thought that it wasn’t as big a thing as Tucker was making out and that anyone would have done it but he was leading her to believe that wasn’t the case. Her expression turned to one of soft seriousness. “Because that’s what friends do; they help one another.” Liliana spoke simply, moving away from the cell so that the guard could get there. “And I don’t like seeing you punished for something you didn’t do. I wouldn’t just leave you here.”

“Unwell? Me? No, I’m fine. Just deep in thought I guess,” Harvey shrugged, “How are you?”

“You can share if you think it would help.” Liliana offered, giving a little smile. “Well I’ve had worse days.” So that was something she could be glad of.

“Would you mind helping me?” she looked wide eyed up at the other a small smile appearing on her lips. “I can’t seem to calm all these dogs down.” a laugh escaped her lips as she almost tripped on a leash. “Somethings setting them all off today, i can’t figure it out.”

“Not at all. Let’s see...” She murmured, moving forward from where she had been sat, moving to get their attention, stroking and talking to some of them calmly before looking up at the woman. “Do you want a hand walking them? I can take a few off you so you don’t have to try and walk so many alone. When they’re in a mood like this I know it can be difficult.”

“Rescuing from boredom is a little different to bailing someone out of jail,” Tucker pointed out, trying to keep the smile of amusement from reaching his lips. The fact that she was even there meant a lot more than he could ever say, but he was also worried about her. This wasn’t a place for someone like her. She came from a different world almost. He believed she was too good to be here, even if it wasn’t behind bars. “There’s bail money to pay and all that. It’s a whole mess.”

“You look bored to me.” The girl answered almost immediately before a soft smile played over her lips. “But no, it’s less different than you think.” Because her life, her home right now felt like a prison to her. She was beginning to hate those four walls and the jail keepers that were her aunt and twin cousins. Tucker had given her something to look forward to again, he made her heart race with their antics and she hadn’t realised how much she had needed that. Still, at his comment about the bail money she gave a shocked gasp, placing a hand over her mouth. “Really? Oh my gosh, I didn’t know.” A moment later the act dropped and she rolled her eyes fondly. “I’m aware how this works. I’ve dealt with it.” The brunette explained, waving that off before he could say any more.

This wasn’t the first time Tucker found himself sitting in the detention cell. Because he hadn’t actually done anything wrong, he couldn’t be properly arrested, but he was prepared to be spending the night. He hadn’t taken the offer to call anybody to bail him out because the only person he could really call was Flynn and he didn’t want his cousin knowing he had been irresponsible. He didn’t want to worry him. Honestly, Tucker didn’t want to worry anybody. 

Hearing somebody enter from the other side, he couldn’t help but look up to see who it was. Perhaps a new guard taking the shift. “You shouldn’t be here,” Tucker said when he saw Liliana’s familiar face in the dim prison lighting.

This situation was admittedly a new one to the brunette but that didn’t mean she wasn't aware of how the system worked. She liked to believe she was intelligent and had enough common sense to understand that much. So she’d made a trip home first, barely stopping before heading to the station. It was how she was here now, guard all but a few feet behind her as she moved up to the bars, hands resting on them lightly.

“Neither should you.” Liliana stated simply, looking at the man for a moment, a soft frown of concern marring her features. “Besides, you rescued me from boredom earlier on tonight, I thought it was about time I returned the favor. Come on.”

Harvey hadn’t stopped thinking about his experience at the beach since it happened. The feeling of being lost and wanting to protect his sister except it wasn’t his sister. He had thought of the name Gretel. Who was Gretel? He was looking around from where he was, almost as if he was trying to find her but knowing he wouldn’t. Then he realized someone was speaking, “Shoot, sorry. Were you talking to me?”

“You looked a little... unwell?” Was the best way Liliana could put it. A little frown of concern was on her features. “Are you alright?” She repeated again, knowing that he hadn’t heard the first time she had questioned him.

“Being busy isn’t an excuse when it comes to having fun and hanging out with your friends,” Tucker insisted with a brief shake of his head. “You need to make time for both work and social interaction. Otherwise - well - you’re going to drive yourself up the wall.”

“We hang out...” Just not as often as most friends she supposed. “Plus I have a young brother that I have to look out for. My Aunt and her daughters are down at the moment though so the house is... hectic.” The girl tried to explain though the frown on her face suggested there was perhaps more there than she let on. “Though I don’t think it’s me that will be driving me up the wall but them.” She rolled her eyes and smiled. “Doing this is actually more of an excuse to get away from the house.” Liliana explained, motioning to the work.

Her movements were quick and precise, going through her routine like it was nothing. When she didn’t have a class, she liked to practice her performance pieces, finding the most peace when dancing. However, seeing someone in the mirror out of nowhere made her yelp a bit before stopping completely. “I didn’t see you there…” She trailed off, trying to catch her breath a bit.

“I’m sorry to give you a fright. I just happened to be passing. I guess I got a little sucked in.” Liliana admitted apologetically, knowing it could be off putting to have someone staring at you. “That was beautiful though.”

“When is the last time you’ve had a chance to enjoy them?” he asked. “And follow-up question– should I have be afraid to hear the answer?”

“Well...” The word was elongated as she thought about it. “From the way you talk about things, I would imagine you might not approve of the answer. Things have been a little busy I guess you could say.”
