“Hey, wait, please don’t remove that!” Jazzy sighed out exhaustion as she hurried over to the person taking off one of her flyers that she spent all day putting up.

“Oh gosh, I wouldn’t,” Harvey said, moving his hand away, “I was just taking a look, I wasn’t gonna take it down.”

“I honestly don’t know if I should get some candy for my apartment building in case kids trick or treat. I know it wouldn’t be the end of the world, but I’d hate to be that lady with no candy.” 

“It’s a little complicated when you’re in an apartment building but you should definitely get candy. If nobody else in your building had candy, at least the kids will get something.”

“That is…” Gwyneth squinted slightly, as if trying to imagine the scenario in her own head. “Definitely bizarre. But you don’t sound crazy, no. Do you think you could’ve been lucid dreaming? Well some sort of variation of it at least?”

“A lucid dream is a dream where you’re aware you’re dreaming. I was actually awake,” Harvey shrugged, “It wasn’t a dream it was... more like a feeling. I don’t know... It doesn’t matter. It was probably nothing.”

“Strange place to get lost isn’t it?” She said with a smile. Rummaging through her purse the blonde pulled out a piece of chocolate. “Here. It’ll help your thoughts.”

“A common place I get lost actually,” Harvey said with a bashful smile, “Thanks.”

“Cooking hm?” Lilian answered with a little smile. “I’d love to be good at that. I can cook but not as well as I should.”

“Well you know, as long as you can cook enough to get by, that’s okay,” Harvey said, “Not okay for me obviously because it’s basically what I wanna do for a living but since it’s not what you study... yeah.”

“Gretel? Is anyone in this century even called Gretel?” she commented, crinkling her nose in surprise. “So no, I would say we don’t. Why?”

“Oh um... well something happened during the barbecue,” Harvey began, “Long story short, I was on the beach and I saw these white pebbles and then suddenly I was panicking and I wanted to make sure someone called Gretel was safe. But I don’t know a Gretel,” He pinched the bridge of his nose, “I sound crazy, don’t I?”

The boy looked a little lost, something on his feature. Bo knew it was like to feel lost or at least confused about losing something. She walked up to the boy, rocking on her toes as she approached him. “Hey. You good?” She asked concerned. He didn’t answer, so she spoke up again. “Is everything okay?” The blonde offered a smile. “I just wanted to make sure you were okay, looks as if you’ve seen a ghost.”

“Huh? Oh yeah, I’m good,” Harvey said with a nod, “Just lost in thought for a moment I guess.”

“Not very often but this is a long one. Something I think has needed their attention. My Aunt is here though.” Liliana murmured, shrugging her shoulders. “I don’t know really. What is it you do?”

“Culinary Arts,” Harvey said with a smile, “I like to cook.”

“Very,” Gwyn nodded. At his next words she found herself nodding again, “Understood. You sure you’re alright?”

Instead of answering her question, Harvey asked a different one, “Do we know anyone called Gretel?” He didn’t even think about it before he asked.

“Haven’t most people? I’m not saying it’s been terrible, just that things aren’t the best right now. But then my parents are away at the moment… business so there is that.” She didn’t divulge any more than that, didn’t think she could really but it didn’t matter. “Tell me a little bit about you then.”

“Well I’ve had better days too I suppose,” Harvey said, “Are they often away on business?” He asked curiously, “About me? Well what do you want to know?”

“Of course,” he nodded, reaching for the paperwork required for a missing item report and sliding it over to the young man. “Just fill this out for me, okay? Do you need a pen?”

“Uh...” Harvey felt his pockets and then realized any pen he had would be in his bag, “Yeah, I need one.”

“Nothing important,” she assured him with a wave of her hand. “Maybe I should get you another coffee?”

“Are you sure? I would hate to have missed something important,” Harvey said and then shook his head, “No, no more coffee. I’ll be awake all night.”

“Would you mind helping me?” she looked wide eyed up at the other a small smile appearing on her lips. “I can’t seem to calm all these dogs down.” a laugh escaped her lips as she almost tripped on a leash. “Somethings setting them all off today, i can’t figure it out.” 

“Oh sure, no problem! I love dogs,” Harvey replied and moved quickly to help her by grabbing one of the leashes, “I have a dalmatian myself.”

“You can share if you think it would help.” Liliana offered, giving a little smile. “Well I’ve had worse days.” So that was something she could be glad of.

“I don’t know if it would but thanks for offering anyway,” Harvey said, his smile in return reassuringly, hoping to convince the other that he was okay, “So you’ve had better days?”

“You looked a little… unwell?” Was the best way Liliana could put it. A little frown of concern was on her features. “Are you alright?” She repeated again, knowing that he hadn’t heard the first time she had questioned him.

“Unwell? Me? No, I’m fine. Just deep in thought I guess,” Harvey shrugged, “How are you?”

“Yeah I was dummy,” she teased, setting her coffee cup down and looking to him with concern, “What’s up? You look like you’ve gone to another planet.”

“I uh... Nothing. I just had a weird dream is all,” Harvey shrugged, “What were you saying?”
