when first arriving in alexandria , judith had been fully open to the idea of staying here because she wanted to see her family safe she wanted to stop all the HURTING .. but after being here for a day or two , she felt ( STRANGE ) . so used to running and looking over her shoulder every five minutes , it felt unnatural simply just l i v i n g . she almost craved to go BEYOND THE WALL , but resisted because she knew her dad wouldn’t want her to. that good girl streak could have continued , until she saw her brother sneaking through a weakness in alexandria’s wall. she couldn’t not follow him , both worried and curious about where he was going.

the moment they were far enough away from alexandria is whenever she made herself known. ❛ carl , where are you going ? and i’m hurt that you didn’t INVITE ME . ❜ she smiles , attempting to make a joke no doubt it HAD FAILED. ❛ seriously though , you’re coming out here alone ? i thought you were smarter than that. ❜

FOR THE FIRST TIME since the world had gone to shit, she’s utterly and completely a l o n e . for a ( SPLIT SECOND ) they had all been happy, though they were behind prison walls. it felt SAFE , a place they could possibly call home , but their past came back to bite them in the ass in the form of the governor. during the crossfire , judith had lost sight of her father and her brother. bullets were going everywhere , as well as walkers , and she was trying to STAY ALIVE while also trying to find her family. after a bullet grazed her shoulder , she knew that she had to get out of there before something worse happened. running in the direction of the trees for cover , her legs kept moving although her mind told her to stop. they went until they BURNED and felt as if they couldn’t move anymore.

her body collapses against a nearby tree trunk , breathing heavy and feeling sore. it’s QUIET for a moment , ( TOO QUIET ) . she can hear her thoughts racing and she wants to call out for her dad , but she doesn’t because she knows that could be a fatal mistake. after her moment of rest , she pushes from the tree and begins to walk forward. the sudden movement causes a sudden pain to move through her injured shoulder , causing her to wince. ❛ shit .. ❜ if her dad had been around , she probably wouldn’t have gotten away with saying the foul word even if that was the least of their problems. in her rush of adrenaline , she hadn’t noticed the severe amount of BLOOD rushing down her arm like a river.

however , she only got a moment to dwell on it. a crunch of a leaf or tree branch , she wasn’t sure , caused her to look up and swiftly point her gun in the direction of the sound despite the pain in her arm. ❛ ... carl ? dad ? ❜ she keeps her voice low so not to pull attention from walkers, but also loud enough so they could hear if they were close. it was probably NAIVE to believe that it could be them , but she had hope. ❛ is that you ? ❜
