“Thanks,” J.C. replied slowly, not used to people telling him anything he did was cool. Even though he’d been in Walt for years now, and people were friendly enough, he always held back, always worried that they’d be happier without having to engage with him at all. “IM stuff definitely takes up less time, yeah; it’s just friends hanging out, I guess.” And that was why he didn’t do it; on a team, he had to make it based on his soccer skill; intramurals seemed much more about his social skills, which he was sure were lacking far too much to fit in. “I think it’s one of those ones that’s going to be played at every party from now until the end of time,” J.C. chuckled, the hint of a real smile pulling the corners of his lips upward. “Nah, I just know people are kinda set in their ways – in case you didn’t wanna branch out, I didn’t want you to feel like you had to.” J.C. nodded in agreement as he listened to Enzo talk about Walt; he wasn’t making the most of it, possibly, but he couldn’t disagree with the other guy, either. “It’s a lot better than home,” he concurred, then realized his mistake – most people around him liked their homes. “And, uh, it’s gotta lot of quiet places to study; I should leave you to your spot, head on back to the library or something.”
:・゚✧ “ANY TIME,” AND HE MEANT THAT, HE WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO OFFER COMPLIMENTS to anyone, even compliments as simple as that or ones more complex. But he also meant that in the case of sincerity. That’s exactly what Enzo was -- sincere. “Friends are good, gotta make some solid ones while I’m here. I’m all for acquaintances, but close relationships are cool, too.” Definitely. “Gives me more time to do the other things I want to do, that’s for sure.” Not that he wasn’t sure J.C. had time, but J.C. was also studying to be a doctor as he said, and that took up a lot of his time, he was sure, a lot more than his own major does. “Ah so a complete favorite, sounds nice. Always good to have music stand the test of time, same with the other arts like literature.” Other things he enjoyed, but he smiled and nodded. “Ah, no, I’m open to all sort of things, I’ll definitely give it a chance. It might not become a favorite, but I think it’s good to be well-rounded, makes life a bit more fun.” It was great, though. His head bobbed when he listened and he spoke easily and readily whenever his turn came up, so he nodded when J.C. said it was better than home. “That bad, huh?” Where J.C. saw it as a mistake, Enzo knew not everyone had as much of a great experience with their homes as he did, and he was sorry for that absolutely. “It does, and you could if you want, I won’t stop you. But make sure to talk to me again sometime, I’m always ready for some one on ones. I’ll even give you my number if you want it.”
