Challenged myself by creating a ref sheet for an OC of mine. They’re extremely time consuming, and I don’t find them very entertaining, so I tend not to do them. This really was a test of patience, but seeing it all put together is very satisfying.

New year, new opportunity to put Rhys in some cool clothes. He IS my favorite dress up doll after all 😂

Not a canon fit, but I’ve been meaning to dress him up as a proper fighter, with some nice knightly vibes. Lots of colors and motifs that remind me of his companions. Makes me wonder about his future, and the person he’ll grow up to be.

Are bots/scammers becoming more annoying on this site or is it just me finally noticing? I feel like I can’t post an art piece without some comment on the post that I typically just delete because it smells fake af.

It’s always so long winded. Literally nobody on this site talks like they do, and I’m frankly sick of it. Is there a tag I should start avoiding to keep these stupid things at bay, or do I just need to suck it up and manually delete them?

Asking for a very frustrated me 🫠

Goodneighbor Adventuring Company

Evelyn, Zyndrial and Rhys, names that the city of Somhelm will never forget.

One of the players in our campaign made a sketch of our trio that I loved so much. I asked her if I could make a version of it in my style and I’m honored to bring it to life. Finished it during her birthday weekend too!

Taverns are the perfect place for information gathering and preparing spells for the next encounter. I like to flavor Wal’s spell casting as him throwing magically charged vials and orbs really, really hard!

Waltheri and Kit, the two tieflings of the party and a bonded pair, both fighting to stay alive in a dangerous world.

During his enslavement in the Citadel, Waltheri is assigned to be the aide and servant of The Overlord’s Pet, an albino tiefling named Kit. He is a bratty man prone to whining, with a complicated relationship to his ‘master’, and it is Kit’s very spoiled demeanor that rankles Waltheri at first, the pair starting off on the wrong foot. It isn’t until many moons later, that his image of an incredibly pampered pet is dispelled. Upon seeing bruises on the skin of said ‘precious pet’, the resentment fades and gives way to sympathy. Kit is simply another unfortunate fellow in the Citadel, just as fearful, weary, and scared as the others. And just as much in need of a friend.

And perhaps it is this revelation that makes Waltheri extend a hand in friendship, offering what words of guidance he can as a servant, while still proving to be a menace, be it through blatantly ignoring Kit’s commands or teasing the younger man relentlessly. What started as a sort of working relationship turned to friendship, and eventually something more, though perhaps neither have had the courage to put to words what that “something more” was.

Waltheri kept silent on his plans to escape, gathering all the information he could to formulate the perfect plan, teetering between leaving on his own or taking Kit with him. Fate (and an unnamed emotion) made the decision clear. On a night where Kit was at his lowest and Waltheri is tending to his injuries, he states to the other tiefling “We’re leaving.”

No longer was it just 'I need to escape.' but 'We need to escape.'
