my ask box is always open! and i will always answer! unless i'm like dead or something,, ask me something about armenian orthography or the language in general and i can probably answer... or if you just wanna say hi. you can talk to me any time! i dont bite i promise
is dont they know a fic that exists or is it a mere figment of my imagination that i am able to hallucinate into existing on my screen upon a whim? (please mora i'm starving the royalty au stocks have plummeted to hell) /lh /silly /dram
yep! it's a real fic that i thought up, wrote, posted, and have lost sleep over! and a fic that my parents found. so. probablt won't be any updates any time soon. but i did say that i would never abandon it, didn't i?
hello sireli mutual, do you by chance have/are planning a post about the imperative mood? the proper/grammatically correct way of conjugating this vs the more common spoken way seems different to me and i cant for the life of me tell if im mixing in eastern armenian or if they really are different
vartsked gadar yev mersi 🙏
yep im planning for it! hima arit chi ga to write it but once i gather my thoughts but it will come sooner or later!
ive always taken frisk as physically affectionate and chara as touch averse But what if it was the other way around
okay so i've thought about it and have come to this conclusion
chara got the touch averse to touch starved pipeline through being a ghost. turns out floating around and not being able to touch things fucking SUCKS. bonus points if in their life, chara occasionally joked about how much they think they'd enjoy being a ghost
frisk was never particularly one way or another, until the underground. all those fights, all those magical bullets that honestly hurt a disproportional amount... yeah it is safe to say they never want to touch anything ever again.
its like six am as of me answering this so i'll probably follow up later with something a bit more substantial, ahaha
@decafblackberrymora okay here is my super cool and thought out (it took me exactly one minute of thinking just now) follow up
frisk dies to undyne over and over and after a few dozen deaths they just sit and cry. and chara is forced to watch. and chara cannot to shit. and they want to offer comfort so badly. but they can't. they're a ghost. frisk can't hear them right now. and they can't touch frisk to hug them, like asriel would hug them whenever they let him in life.
they can only watch.
and then when they finally get the opportunity to hug them in a revival scenario, frisk has developed an aversion to being touched. so they don't.

aw heck,,, i finally have the entirety of my current mainfic's first act sketched out (as in: i have enough dot points of the general flow for it to read as a vague summary) and its gunna be like 20k,,, and act one is the short act,,,, this thing's going to be like 90k by the time its complete isnt it,,,,
sighs i suppose i should get on with. writing act 2. (dearly and deeply wants to write chapter 2)
hey guys update my laptop has been taken away for like a week because of battery problems (it’s been dying in 20 minutes for like weeks now) so now i’m stuck typing on my. fucking ipad. lmao.
I'M FREEEEEEEEEE!!
THE FIC. THE FIC IS OVER FORTY TWO CHAPTERS.
I'M TERRIFIED!!! YAYAYYYYY!!!
okay so act 1 is eight chapters than act two is eighteen chapters then theres a three chapter interlude before act 3 starts. act 3 is the only one that doesn't have a complete plan, but i do have a solid thirteen chapters in its plan so far.
What do you think about Chara? Will they ever play a role in the story?
ah, Chara. such a fascinating and divisive character, at least for me. as always, there's a short answer and a long answer, and I'll do my utmost to make it spoiler free.
the short answer: yes! Chara absolutely plays a role in this story. I'm not sure that it will be a role that people are happy with, but I hope that it will be okay (and make sense!) regardless.
the long answer (with a bit of saffy Lore™):
I am a giant wussy scaredy cat. when undertale came out, I was smack bang in the amazing impressionable age that is 13 years old -- a defeatist in high school and a little girl who only knew how to play video games and write self-insert fanfiction where I was best friends with Hermione Granger.
... and I had very very small experience with horror. I couldn't stand gore, couldn't handle jumpscares, could barely sit through tense scenarios, you get the idea. Flowey terrified me -- in that same vein, I was WAY too obsessed with undertale, and it didn't take me long to find the genocide route and all the horror aspects it entails.
Chara especially scared the living daylights out of me. I watched a playthrough, I watched the ending with the jumpscare and the world ending, and I cried and had nightmares for weeks. in my eyes, my little 13 y/o eyes, Chara was the embodiment of everything evil within undertale, and the reason the genocide route existed.
of course, now at the ripe old(?) age of 24, I have a more nuanced view on them, including fun things like patterns of abuse, manipulation, and, of course, the inclusions of the "Player" within undertale and how that wholly changes the narrative point -- this last point is the point that is relevant within red red Robin.
because of course, there's no player in the fic. we're finding out where that leaves everyone else, so where does -- or did -- that leave Chara? if there was no player in Undertale, what does that mean for a genocide playthrough? what does it tell us about their decision-making? I'll leave that there.
something I had to wholly consider within this fic is that if I was linking it to undertale, I wanted it to make complete sense how and why this link exists. as of chapter 30 (the most recent chapter), we generally have nothing more than theory-crafting on how and why Frisk is in this other dimension. Chara, along with sans (mentioned on my last ask) and every other character within Undertale -- it was decided where they are around the first ten chapters, when I finalised the plot.
thanks for reading this far, by the way! I feel like it's worth mentioning that so far this story has not one, not two, but THREE potential endings I'm tossing up between! I'm still deciding whether I want the ending to be happy, bittersweet or tragic lol... let me know what you guys think!
i think aside from the fact that certain words don't follow the "stress on the last syllable" rule, we just switch things around when we feel like it's appropriate.
քեզԻ՞ է ատիկա։ -> is that yours? [question]
ՔԵԶի է ատիկա։ -> that's yours. [affirmative statement] [i do this sometimes]
