This is what I mean when I say everything is purposefully in animation. They have control over everything. When I babble about symbolism of the glass breaking, it’s because they have absolute control over the physics of how it happens, as they’re drawing it, and they chose to have it break looking like this. It’s purposeful, symbolic, and it means something. No, I’m not reading into it!! It’s just the art of animation, which is why I love it so much.

Need people who like superliminal to watch severance and people who like severence to play superliminal. Both go into extreme escapism as well as using liminal spaces to represent a sort of mindscape. Both are experiments. However, severence looks more into taking advantage of people looking for an escape while superliminal is run by someone who needed the escape. The difference offers an interesting perspective into the whole concept however because it leaves you with more knowledge to question the ethics and reasoning behind it all. If you truly endured the worst, would you consider putting yourself through this?

so youre telling me. theres an adaptation of orpheus and eurydice. where eurydice was falling out of love with orpheus before her death but didnt know how to tell him, and when he walks into the underworld to get her back, shes forced to confess that she planned to leave him?? and shes the one to ask him to look back, but he doesn’t want to, because he knows she isn’t coming with him??? youre telling me that when he finally looks back, he does lose her, but only because he’s letting go??? you’re telling me its about grief? about drifting apart?? about moving on??? about love, and how its messy, and how sometimes it just doesn’t work out even if you go to hell and back for it, because we’re human and thats our tragedy????
