Kill â Iâll write a angst drabble of my character violently killing yours. Because you are mean and want me to cry a pool of tears. Â
The death mark on her left inner arm was jet black and moving, and it was burning. Â She was being summoned by the Dark Lord. Â He likely wanted another potion. Â As long as she wore the death mark on her arm and as long as she did Voldemortâs bidding, she was safe. Â None of the death eaters would touch her. Â Not even Bellatrix. Â She pasted a smile on her face as she walked into the Dark Lordâs abode and found him in the dining room. Â
But there was no keeping that smile pasted on her lips when she saw Dedalus. Â He was laying atop the dining room table, his shirt was ripped off, leaving it hanging around his waist in torn tatters. Â She stopped dead in her tracks at the door. Â
âAhhh, Aurora, come come. Â Look at the present Iâve gotten for you.â Â
Aurora felt numb inside as she moved towards Lord Voldemort. Â Present? Â The word confused her. Â What present? Â Did he mean Dedalus and how the hell could anybody consider this a present? Â
âMy Lord,â She said, as she reached his side.  âWhat present?âÂ
âWhy this, traitor to the wizard community, of course. Â Iâve brought him here for you to play with.â Â
Like a cat, bringing in a live mouse and dropping it at her masterâs feet. Â Hereâs your present. Â Have fun with it. Â But why on earth would he give her Dedalus. Â She looked at Lord Voldemort for the first time since coming into the room and seeing Dedalus. Â There was a dangerous glint in his eyes, his smile nothing more but a bearing of teeth. Â Realization fell over Aurora. Â
This wasnât a present. Â It was a test. Â
âHow shall I play with him, my Lord?â Aurora asked, hardness coming over her. Â
This was the only way to survive. Â
âHeâs a member of the Order. Â I want to know everything he knows.â Â Lord Voldemort said. Â
âOf course, I have veritaserum-â
âNo. Â No veritaserum. Loosen his lips with screams.â Â
Aurora took out her wand and stepped towards Dedalus. Â There was fear reflected in his eyes, and a glimmer of hope. Â
âDonât do this, Aurora. Â Weâre friends.â Â
Aurora shook her head.  âNo, weâre not.  A long time ago you said to meâŠÂ Thereâs a war.  Who are you going to be then?  Now you get to find out⊠ Crucio,â She said, aiming her wand at the defenseless man. Â
Her features were hard, closed off. Â On the surface she looked unfeeling, but instead she was dying. Â Dedalus screamed in pain, trashing uncontrollably on the wooden table. Â Aurora couldnât look away. Â She wanted to, Merlin, how she wanted to. Â But she couldnât. Â She needed to hear every scream, see every feature of agony. Â She would carry the burden of this guilt with her for the rest of her life. Â Aurora cut off the curse, dropping her wand. Â
âTell us what we want to know, Dedalus, and Iâll make it end quickly.â Â
Dedalus glared at Aurora. Â âHit me with your best shot, Ror.â Â
The old nickname cut through her chest like a knife, stabbing into her heart. Â
Aurora pointed her wand again. Â âCrucio.â Â
Hours passed, and still Dedalus had not given them any information. Â Each time she applied the Cruciatus curse, it killed a piece of Auroraâs soul. Â
âEnough,â Lord Voldemort said. Â âHe doesnât know anything. Â Good job, Aurora. Â End it and meet me in the study.â Â
âEnd it?â Aurora asked. Â
âFinish him, of course. Â If he hasnât talked by now, heâs not going to talk. Â He serves no more purpose to us.â Â Lord Voldemort said and walked out
Aurora was left alone with Dedalus. Â He was still trembling, his eyes wild with the pain, despite the fact that the curse was stopped. Â But after hours of torture, his body didnât know the difference between magic and real anymore. Â There was even blood dripping from his nose. Â
âDed?â she said softly. Â âIâm so sorry.â Â
âKill me, Ror.â Â Dedalus croaked. Â His voice was so hoarse, she wasnât sure she heard him right. Â âPlease. Â Just. Â Kill me.â Â
Aurora couldnât see him through the tears in her eyes.  She blinked and they cascaded in two hot lines down her face.  She lifted her wand. Â
âAvada Kedavra,â she whispered. Â
A flash of green and Dedalusâ body went limp, his eyes staring at her, unseeing. Â She couldnât leave him like that. Â Aurora moved closer to the body. Â He was a body now. Â She couldnât think of him as Dedalus. Â She felt sick to her stomach, she was going to throw up. Â But she couldnât. Â The Dark Lord was expecting her. Â
Aurora trailed her hand over his eyes, closing them. Â Then she wiped the tears off of her face, took a deep breath, and went to see the Dark Lord, that pasted on smile cemented in place. Â
