Just a Kid - The Avengers x Bucky x Female Reader

Summary: The reader gets sassy with the Avengers

A/N: I kind of turned it into a Bucky thing so oops (it’s a bit short so I’m sorry)

“Of course she couldn’t hold her own against me! She’s just a kid.” A voice none other than Tony Cocky-and-Self-Centered Stark’s said. 

Sam and Tony came around the corner and entered the large kitchen. Both of their eyes widened for a second but then they both tried to shake it off.

“Who’s just a kid?” You questioned with a scowl on your face.

“Well…you.” Tony wasn’t one to care about what he said. Sometimes he seemed to have no filter. “And a young girl at that.”

You felt your blood start to boil. Ever since you joined the Avengers, they all seemed to treat you like a kid. You weren’t even that young! You were an adult and it made you angry that they wouldn’t always take you seriously. On missions they never seemed to fully trust you and would always pretty much babysit you. A young girl he said. You couldn’t believe him.

“Oh bite me, Stark. You’re joking right?” You scoffed.

Steve and Bucky were seated on the couch but looked your way. You briefly made eye contact with Bucky but he moved his eyes toward Stark. 

“Excuse me?” Tony was surprised that you spoke up. It was the first time that you had actually said something back.

“I said ‘are you joking’.” You repeated slowly, trying to make him feel dumb.

“Tony, leave her alone.” Nat called as she entered the room and sat on one of the bar stools. 

“I don’t need you to defend me, Nat. I’m sick and tired of everyone treating me like I don’t know what I’m doing. You don’t think I can take you down in a fight, Tony? At least I don’t need a metal suit to be strong. I’ll kick your *** any time, any place!” You crossed your arms and held your ground, staring the Falcon and Iron Man down.

“Daammmnnnn!” Sam snorted and covered his mouth. Tony just looked at you with a smirk on his face, finding the situation amusing. You rolled your eyes and stormed passed them, heading for the doorway.

From the couch you heard Cap call after you. “(Y/N)! I think you’ve got Bucky all hot and bothered.”

You turned back and noticed his cheeks were covered in a blush. He reached over and smacked the back of Steve’s head. But he just continued to laugh and tease the Winter Soldier. “Sorry Buck, I think you’re a bit too old for her anyways.” 

You gave the two of them a confident smile. “No, he’s not. Not at all.” And with that you left the room.
